She is 49 GA and says she is married, but not really. She was here
in 1930 and married to Clarence Putnam who is currently in Los Angeles with a
new wife Wanda. Maybe they are Mormons and can have a couple of wives, or maybe
she doesn’t want to admit she is divorced or whatever. She did end up owning
the house. She owned a beauty shop in 1930 and still does.
ELIZABETH
PUTNAM Meeker, Rio Blanco County
She is 18 KS and rooming with Lawrence
Hollingsworth 39 TN. The record says she is married but no sign of her husband.
She lived in the same place in 1935. Good luck here.
DONNA
BELLE PUTMAN Center, Saguache County
She is 12 IL and is living with her stepfather
Jack Duff 31 KS, mother Violet Duff 31 IL, and stepsister Peggy Duff 3 CO. You
can see her with her mother in Spring Grove, Warren County Illinois in 1930 but
no father is listed. Violet’s parents are Charles Henry Simcox and Margaret
Lair. Violet Margaret Simcox was possibly married to Thomas Jefferson Putnam.
Thomas is the son of John Joseph Putman and Martha Lewis from Gilmer County
West Virginia and Fauquier County Virginia before that. Thomas was born
September 18, 1893 in Roswell, New Mexico and died in January 1963. Southern
Putman family. Now all family sheets say Violet was married to Tom, but I
question it or maybe he had two wives or maybe just an affair. Thomas was born
in New Mexico and has been in Arizona ever since and married to Minnie Gray. Then
in 1930, Violet and Donna Belle are with her folks in Warren County Illinois
and Donna say born in Illinois then too. But these family sheets say she was
born in Center, Saguache County Colorado March 11, 1928. So
I think we can say her dad was Thomas and mother Violet and leave everything
else out.
NEIL A. (ADAIR) PUTNAM Fort Lupton, Weld County
He is indexed as Neil Adairputnam
31 NY and his wife as Helen Adairputnam 31 MO. That’s
why I didn’t find him till info in the 1950 where he is still here. His folks
are listed next. See that for the info.
ORA N. (NEIL) PUTNAM Fort Lupton, Weld County
He is
59 MO and operates a Sunoco gas station as he has since the 1920s. His wife
Lillian Billingsley Adain 59 CO. Ora Neil Putnam is a
son of William Wilson Putman and Isabella Julia Renfro and was born in Henry
County Missouri September 19, 1880 and will die here in Fort Lupton in December
1971. His dad deserted him and his mom and they moved out here in the 1890s and
she died here in Fort Lupton December 31, 1901. He married Lilly, who was born
here, in 1905 and in 1910 they were in Sherman, Chautauqua County New York.
Lilly was a daughter of Stephen Turrel Adair and Consucion Susannah Smith and was born in Gilpin County
Colorado October 16, 1880 and will die in Greeley, Weld County in 1964.
Southern Putman family out of North Carolina to Missouri.
