In 1850, Idaho was included in the 1850 census for the Oregon Territory. In 1860, it was included in the 1860 census of the State of Washington. There were no Putmans or Putnams in either as near as I can figure. By 1863, it became it's own territory and included Wyoming and Montana. It became the present Idaho in 1868 as a territory. In 1890, it became the 43rd state.
