– 1925
===========
UPDATED JULY
26, 2021
This
1905 State Census is just a series of books with names in running in I guess
the order they were recorded. No relationships, ages or anything else.
Fortunately it was close enough to the 1900 that most can be figured out.
In
looking up the first 25 Putman families, 7 entries were directed to the wrong
pages. I could guess on some, but begin to feel I am wasting my time. I may
come back, may not.
He
would be 71 VT and his wife Anna Briggs about 65 NY. He is a son of John
Glidden Putman and Thankful B. Putnam from Montpelier, Vermont. He has been
here since 1869. They are both here in 1910 at ages 76 and 70. New England
family.
Louis Orville would be 39 IA,
his wife Martha Pray about 37 IA. Kids are Demia,
Earl, Cora, Myrtle, Florence, Orville (Homer Orville). He is a son of Benjamin
Augustus and Samantha Putnam and was with them in Boone County in 1870 and

in 1910. New Englanders from Bethel Vermont.
His
initials show up 4 pages after they should on the last line of page 11 and
there are no more Putmans on page 12. His wife Eliza Jane Sexton just died here
September 15, 1904 so maybe he is living by himself now, but there still should
be kids around. He is James Rufus Putnam Junior, a son of James Rufus Putnam
and his first wife Cynthia Ann Bradley. He was born in Dubuque County March 10,
1859 and was with the folks there in 1860 and in Warren County in 1870 and

Sweden later this year. They are here in 1910 and on. He will die in Griswold,
Cass County December 27, 1942 at age 83. Christmas was just too much that year.
Ulrica will die here December 30, 1935 also after a hectic Christmas I guess.

time.
Wrong
again. This Census shows us little forms with info that is handwritten and canմ
be read very easily. I can get info on some Counties, zilch on others. Then the
cards or forms only have one name so you have no clues as to who lives with
whom. Here is their first listing. Good
luck.

I think
this is going to be a waste of time as well. We have the 1910 and 1920 so that
works okay. The huge help were the 1885 and 1895 that
were indeed easy to see and understand and they filled that horrible 20 year
void in the Federal Censuses.
