1910 CENSUS
ROBERT E. (EDWARD) PUTNAM Pineville, Bell County
He is
a son of Alfred G. Putman and Sarah Katherine Ramsey of Louisville. He is 44
KY, Ella Elizabeth Neff 43 KY, William 20 KY, Robert Junior 17 KY, Travers
(actually Norman as Travis is in the Army in Delaware right now) 15 KY, Nellie
12 KY, Guy 10 KY, Eugene 7 KY and Shirley M. a son 4 KY. Robert Putnam was born
in Louisville on August 24, 1868. Ellen was a daughter of Jacob Neff and Lydia
Starr. She was born in Louisville February 24, 1867 and will die here August
23, 1931. They will split up in the 1920s. She will have the kids and Robert a
new wife. Robert will die here June 1, 1938 at age 73.
DOUGLAS PUTNAM Ashland, Boyd County
He is
still in Ashland now at age 71 OH. With him is a new wife Winchester Knowles 50
OH. They have been married 6 years now. Also here is Clara Knowles a sister in
law, Winnie’s unmarried sister, 54 OH and Mary McCandlish
a niece 20 WVA. Douglas was born August 21, 1838, and will die here August 11,
1918 at age 79. Winnie and Clara are back in Marietta Ohio in 1920.
LOUIS R. (REPPERT) PUTNAM Ashland, Boyd County
Douglas
Putnam's son is still here. He is 42 OH, Mary Hardie his wife 41 LA and Donald
23 KY and Valona 20 KY. He is a son of Douglas Putnam and Valonia Reppert. His dad is next door, or probably they all live in
the same house, just listed as separate families but next to each other. Mary
was a daughter of John Hardie and Lydia Wilson and was born in New Orleans
August 8, 1868. She will die here July 5, 1935
HARDING E. PUTMAN Wadesboro, Calloway County
He is
a farmer 52 KY TN TN, Mary Jane Jones his wife 48 KY.
Nat 19 KY and Audie 13 KY are all that's left at home. He is a son of James and
Elizabeth Putman from Tennessee. He was born here August 7, 1857. They were in
Marshal County in 1880 and his dad was there with him. They were here in 1900.
Hardin or Harding will die here January 4, 1915. Mary will die before 1920 too.
Both are buried here in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Nathan will also die here
October 13, 1915.
ROBERT H. (HINER) PUTMAN District 4, Campbell County
Thomas
Daniel Putman's son is a confectioner working with his brother William at their
candy company. He is 51 KY KY KY.
Margaret Ward his wife of 16 years is 51 KY VA TN. Also there are a niece
Stella 15 KY, nephew Robert W. Miller 18 KY and Sarah F. Ward listed as sister
in law and is Margaret’s unwed sister 60 KY VA TN. Stella is a child of his
brother Charles Monroe. Sarah is Margaret’s mom of course. Robert Miller is
probably related to Mary Miller who married Robert’s brother John Hall Putman,
and are in Highland County Ohio now. Charles Putman is in Fayette County right
now with a new wife.
WILLIAM H. (HENRY) PUTMAN District 4, Campbell County
Thomas
Daniel's son is 49 KY KY KY and his wife
Matilda Bane 46 KY. They have been married 29 years and have Alma 16 KY, Robert
11 OH, Louisa 9 OH. Also there is a nephew Leslie Putman 18 KY. Leslie is a son
of Charles Monroe Putman and Susan Wallingford. Charles is William’s brother
and is newly married in Lexington now. They were in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1900.
He owns a candy company. Leslie is a clerk in the company. Leslie is single in
Chicago in 1920.
GEORGE K. (KELLEY) PUTMAN Crofton, Christian County
William
Granval Putman and Martha Sharber's son is 29 KY KY KY, his wife Bertha Oma McClellon 22 KY and they have Jeanie 5 KY. He was born here
April 25, 1881. They were married here April 27, 1904. They will be here all
their lives.
SAMUEL H. PUTMAN Crofton, Christian County
He is
a son of George Washington Putman and Fanny Hobbs from Hopkins County. Sam is
23 KY TN KY, and his wife Nona L. Hendrix is 24 KY. They have been married 2
years. They are here in 1920 and then in St. Joseph County Indiana in 1930. He
lives next to his uncle William Riley Putman. Both own their own farms.
WILLIAM (GRANVAL) PUTMAN Crofton, Christian County
Simpson's
son is a farmer 64 TN TN TN.
His wife Martha Ann Sharber is 57 TN, Lee 26 KY
(conductor on the Street Railway), William G. Jr. 21 KY, and Nona 19 KY. Young
William has his wife with him as well. She is Mamie Cates 18 KY. He was born
January 3, 1846 and died March 13, 1929. Martha, born October 19, 1853, died
January 26, 1926. I can’t find them in 1920, but they are here someplace.
WILLIAM RILEY PUTMAN Crofton, Christian County
Hiram's
son. He is now 71 TN NC SC and Sarah E. Knight his wife is 71 KY. They have
been married 51 years now. They are both here in 1920. He will die here on July
22, 1924. Sarah on November 27, 1928.
CHARLES M. (MONROE) PUTMAN Lexington, Fayette County
He is
Thomas Daniel Putman's son. He has moved from Fleming County and now lives in
Lexington where he operates a confectionary business (candy maker). He is 45 KY
KY KY. Margaret Elizabeth
Bell/Ball 28 KY is his second wife. They have been married 1 year. Children are
Walter 20 KY, Thomas 12 KY and Robert 10 KY. He was married to Susan
Wallingford in 1889 and they were in Fleming County in 1900. She died there
Christmas Day 1902. They are all in Newport, Campbell County in 1920 and 1930.
He is
23 KY KY KY a farm laborer.
His wife Cleo is 24 KY and they have Anthen a
daughter 1 KY. They have been married 2 years. I can’t find him before or
since. Think he is a Pittman.
ELIZABETH PUTNAM Hancock County
She
is the widow of G. H. Putnam who was here in 1900. She is 39 KY and has a
daughter named Harry 9 KY and a daughter Louise Edwards 19 KY from her first
marriage with an Edwards. Elizabeth will soon be marrying a Blanton. Harry the
daughter, probably named after her dad, will marry John Francis Allard here in
Hancock County.
JOSEPH W. (WILLIAM) PUTMAN Henderson County
He
was listed with his mother Elizabeth Putman in Christian County in 1880, and
with his folks William Putman and Mary Elizabeth Hoard in Gibson County Indiana
in 1870. He is now 40 IN, Jennie (Virginia Richardson) 30 KY, Erwin 12 KY, Robley (Robert E. Lee) 10 KY, Lora 7 KY, Ethel 2 KY and
Stella (Elizabeth) 1 KY. This is his second marriage and her first. He had
married Dallas Izora Pentecost here February 7, 1895 and they were divorced in
September 1895. He and Jennie have been married 14 years. They are here in 1920
and 1930.
ALLIE PUTMAN District 1, Hopkins County
She
is Lee Alice Blythe the widow of Jesse Boyd Putman who has died in the last few
years. She is 42 KY TN TN and at home are Jesse Floyd
19 KY, George Washington and Bettie Earl, twins, 17 KY, Leota
15 KY and Edgar 6 KY. The sons are coal miners. Jess was a son of Jesse Miles
Putman and Lucy Ann Rice. Allie will be here till she dies March 26, 1948.
CLARENCE PUTMAN District 1, Hopkins County
The
eldest of David N. Putman's kids is 21 KY and has a wife named Annie 24 KY. He
was born June 6, 1887 and died of TB March 24, 1943. He is a coal miner and
they have just been married.
DAVID N. PUTMAN District 1, Hopkins County
Simeon
Putman and Mary Ellen Berry's son is 47 KY KY KY, Mary F. Dunlap is 42 KY, Lee 20 KY, Louie H. (Lugie Hershel) 18 KY, Lonny A. 17 KY, Roy 15 KY, Eli 13 KY,
Lottey 11 KY, Marjorie (Nancy Margaret) 6 KY and
Katie 3 KY. He was born in December 1861 and died in Muhlenberg County on
September 15, 1925 at age 62. He married Nancy L. Blades September 30, 1880. He
later married Mary Dunlap, a daughter of James Dunlap and Mary Farmer. She was
born June 26, 1867 and died in Daviess County April 9, 1946 at age 79.
GEORGE W. PUTMAN District 1, Hopkins County
William
Riley's son is 48 KY KY KY,
Fannie Hobbs his wife is 45 KY, Claude Anderson 22 KY, Harry Clifton 13 KY,
Pearl 10 KY, Addie 5 KY, Lorena 3 KY, Dennis 1 KY. Also there is Claude's wife
Mattie 17. He was born here in May 1861, Fanny in April 1865. Fannie will die here March 19, 1912. Harry
will die here November 3, 1918. George will last till August 17, 1938.
GEORGE W. PUTMAN Curtail, Hopkins County
Simpson's
son is now 54 KY TN TN, Jennie L. Oldham his wife 44
KY, Willie W. 19 KY and Eddie B. 14 KY. Jennie’s brother, J. D. Oldham 53 KY
and his family live next door on their own farm. He was born June 11, 1855,
Jennie was born February 21, 1865. They have been married 21 years. Jennie will
die here November 13, 1912 and George on December 3, 1913.
GOLD PUTMAN District 1, Hopkins County
He is
William Gold Putman, a son of John H. Putman. He is 23 KY and his wife Anna Uzzel
is 16 KY. They have been married 1 year. They are living with his mother
Beatrice 51 KY and her new husband Conrad Slaten 53
KY. Beatrice Whitfield was the widow of John H. Putman. He died in the mid
1880s. Beatrice married Conrad Slaton in 1889.
H. (HIRAM) L. PUTMAN Curtail, Hopkins County
He is
51 KY TN KY and Mary Jane Ray his wife is 48 TN. They have been married 29
years. She states she had one child who died young.

PUTMAN) White Plains, Hopkins County
Jesse
Miles' son is 36 KY KY KY.
A. V. (Ann Vicki Alman) his wife is 34 KY and Verble
a daughter is 6 KY. They were married here February 20, 1895. He owns a
barbershop.
SIMEON WICKLIFF PUTMAN District 1, Hopkins County
Noah's
son is 71 TN TN TN, Mary
Ellen Berry 65 KY and the kids are all gone. They have been married 45 years
now. He is a son of Noah Putman and Elizabeth Jane Carlton. He was born in
Williamson County Tennessee April 23, 1838 and will die here April 27, 1911.
Mary will die here a year later on March 21, 1912.
VIRGIL W. (WATSON) PUTMAN District 1, Hopkins County
The
above Simeon's son is 24 KY TN KY, Vadie Reynolds his
wife is 19 KY and Marvin Watson 11/12 KY. They have been married a year. He was
born October 3, 1884, and died August 13, 1967 at age 82. His wife was born
December 17, 1889 and died in September 1962.
WILLIAM HARVE PUTMAN Hopkins County
William
H. Junior is 40 KY, Nancy Sumner is 37 KY. They had no children.
ALPHEUS PUTNAM Louisville, Jefferson County
Junior
is now married. He is 31 KY, Anna Schafenberger his
wife is 31 KY, Edna 9 KY and Alpheus 3rd is 6 KY.
ALPHEUS G. (GEORGE) PUTNAM Louisville, Jefferson County
Adrian’s
son has moved back from Meade County and living in Louisville. He is now 54 KY,
and Alice E. Webb his wife is 51 KY They have Walter D. 29, Roy H. 21, Henry D.
19, Harlan 13, Claude H. 9. All born in KY. Also home is his daughter Addie 25
and a grandson Fred age 5. Not certain, but it looks like Fred is Addie's.
FORREST L. (LEE) PUTNAM Louisville, Jefferson County
He is
still in Louisville. He is 45 KY, Lettie Shackleford his wife is 42 KY, Charles
F. (Francis) 16 KY. He is a son of Dr. Joseph Whitney Putnam. He was born right
here. They are here in 1920 and 1930.
GEORGE F. PUTNAM Jefferson County
He is
35 KY, Eugenia V. DuPree 34 KY. They are living with
her folks. He is a son of Rufus and Emma Putnam, grandson of George Washington
Putnam of Louisville. He was born here in Louisville March 18, 1875 and will
die here September 30, 1942 at age 67.
LAWRENCE C. PUTMAN Louisville, Jefferson County
Alpheus'
son is in Louisville and is 28 KY, and Alice Mary Thomas is 27 KY. They were
married here November 24, 1909. They are here in 1920 but not indexed. Alice
will die here August 1, 1927. He will then marry a girl named Mary in 1929 and
they will be here in 1930.
NELLIE PUTNAM Louisville, Jefferson County
She
is 31 OH TN TN single and living with Lillian Irwin.
She is a maid.
SARAH C. (CATHERINE) PUTNAM Louisville, Jefferson County
Sarah
Catherine Henneberger is 63 IN. She is the widow of
Alfred Putnam from Louisville. She is listed as mother in law with William H.
Samuel. She was widowed here in 1900, and will die here herself January 20, 1916.
KATE PUTNAM Berea, Madison County
She
is alone 60 OH. Kate Urner was married to Daniel
Putnam from Massachusetts, and they were in Springfield, Ohio. Daniel was a son
of James Pope Putnam and Susan Abigail Upton from Fitchburg, Massachusetts. In
1880, they were in Springfield, Clark County, Ohio. He died there June 18,
1888. She was widowed here in 1900. She will die May 14, 1928.
He is
16 KY KY KY single and in a
boarding house. He is a son of Nathan Henry Putnam and Nancy Spaulding from
here. He was at home with them in 1900. His dad died August 7, 1905.
JOHN L. (LANCASTER) PUTNAM Marion County
This is
John Lancaster Putnam, son of Nathan Hale Putnam, grandson of Dr. Joseph Putnam
of Louisville. He is 28 KY, Lettie E. Daniels his wife 19 KY, John T. no age
given, probably. He would be John Lancaster Junior born September 21, 1908 and
died in Franklin County January 28, 1931. He is widowed here in 1920. He was
born February 2, 1883 and will die here in Marion County July 7, 1953. He is a
physician.
NANNIE PUTNAM Lebanon, Marion County
She
is Nancy Spaulding, the widow of Nathan Henry Putnam. She is 54 KY. Anna
Katherine 24 KY, and Nellie 20 KY are with her. She was born November 2, 1854 a
daughter of Richard Spaulding and Mary Jane Lancaster. She will be here until
she dies on December 16, 1922.
RICHARD PUTNAM Marion County
He is
the eldest son of Nathan Hale and Nannie Putnam. He is 32 KY, Pearl Burnside
his wife is 31 KY. They are here in 1920 and in 1930.
JOHN H. (HENRY) PUTMAN District 5, Marshall County
Another
of James' sons. He is 64 TN. His wife Martha Harriet Jones is 61 TN, Roxie 29
KY and Mollie 26 KY. Also there are Devoe Ross 18 and
Ola Ross 16 listed as grandchildren. He will die here January 19, 1920.
J. (JOHN) M. PUTMAN District 5, Marshall County
He is
the above John's eldest son. He is 34 KY, Ella Jones his wife is 34 KY, Gladys
9 KY, Freda 3 KY, twin sons Ewel and Joel 1 KY. They
were married here January 14, 1900. In 1920, there is only one 11 year old,
Henry. One of these twins died, don't know which was Henry in this listing.
They were in Calloway County in 1900 and are here in Hardin in 1920 and 1930.
WILL (WILLIAM JAMES) PUTMAN District 5, Marshall County
John
H. Putman's son is 23 KY, Mima McGregor is 22 KY, Magdeline 1. Also there is a niece, Kelti
Putman 3. Kelti is shown in 1920 as a daughter of
John H. Putman, but is a daughter of his daughter Roxie who is home right now.
Roxie was married to a Greenfield and is divorced. She is here through 1930
with Keltie.
JAMES L. PUTMAN Paducah, McCracken County
He
lives in Paducah, but not sure of his folks. He is Adrian Putnam and Jane
Stewart’s son listed as Lewis back in Meade County in 1870 and 1880. Age is
right and the middle initial is too.
James is 45 KY, Janie Rushing, his third wife, is 22 KY, Ann 3 KY and
Margaret under 1 KY. They have been married 5 years. He was here in 1900 with a
wife named Ida and had been married 9 years. At the time he had a son Guy age
15 IN and he was by wife number one, Annie Allender. The clincher is that Guy
is with his brother Rufus in Evansville, Indiana in 1920 listed as a nephew. He
is a blacksmith and has been since the 1870s.
MICHAEL PUTMAN Paducah, McCracken County
He is
22 KY KY KY, single and a
boarder. I don’t find him before or after this. Probably a Pitman. There are
lots of them around.
DANIEL K. (KINDRED) PUTNAM Island Village, McLean County
He is
still here as he was in 1900. He is now 58 OH, Minnie F. Carnithan,
his wife, 32 KY, Oscar E. 17 KY, Emma Lou 15 KY, Chester L. 12 KY, Clifton D. 9
KY, Forrest 6 KY, Ida May 4 KY and Everett G. 2 KY. All the kids were born in
McLean County. He will be around until he dies here March 14, 1931 at age 80.
He looks like the son of Abner Putman in Brown County, Ohio in 1860.
CLAUDE EARL PUTMAN Muhlenberg County
Ezekiel
Rice Putman's son is 22 KY. Dad has died and Mom and even grandmother are here.
Sarah Shelton is 44 KY, and her mother Elizabeth J. Shelton is 73 KY. Claude's
brothers and sisters are Edgar T. 18 KY, Paul 17 KY, Hugh 14 KY, Paschal L. 10
KY, Ezekiel Rice 5 KY.
JOSEPH PUTMAN Muhlenberg County
Peter
Joseph Putman, Jesse Mile's son, is 18 KY and living with Newton Whitmer, also
there are his mother Nannie Hendricks 58 KY and sister Lucy 22 KY. It seems
Newt married another sister, Georgia Putman and picked up a new family in the
bargain.
NED C. PUTMAN Muhlenberg County
Jesse's
son is 35 KY, Gertrude Nofsinger 31 KY and there are
no children. He married Gertrude Nofsinger March 8,
1896 in Muhlenberg County. He died in Muhlenberg County at age 83 on April 26,
1956. Gertrude died at age 77 on September 11, 1955.
NANNIE J. PUTMAN Muhlenberg County
Jesse
Miles Putman's widow, Nancy Hendricks is 58 KY and living with her daughter and
her husband Newton Whitmer.

ROBERT E. (EDWARD) LEE PUTNAM Pineville, Bell County
He is a
son of Alfred G. Putman of Louisville and is still around and runs a plumbing
shop. He is now 55, Ellen Elizabeth Neff his wife 52, Clarence is 34 and has
his wife Sybil Dawson 20 NC and a son Clarence 2 NC. Also at home are Nell M.
22, Guy F. 19, Eugene 17 and a son Shirley 13. They will split up and Robert
will have a new wife here in 1930. Ellen will still have the first set of kids
and then die in 1931. Robert will die here June 1, 1938 at age 73. His son
Robert Edward Lee Junior is now in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota
happily married to Lucille Appel. He will be in Greensboro, North Carolina by
1930 and will manage a furnace company. His brother Shirley will be there too
in 1930 and be working for him as an installer of furnaces. In 1910 the son
Clarence Lee was in the Army stationed at the Jefferson Barracks in St. Louis
County Missouri. He married Sybil Hyatt Dawson in 1917. They are in Lenoir
County North Carolina soon and are there in 1930 with more kids. Clarence works
as a plumber with his dad now, but by 1930 will be a foreman on a construction
crew, probably for the roads that are going up everywhere.
DOUGLAS G. (GAYLORD) PUTMAN Ashland, Boyd County
He is
Douglas jr. 48 KY, Lula Hurdle is 25 NC, Elizabeth 14 KY, Douglas 3rd 8 KY
(born May 22, 1911) and Annie (Lavinia Ann) 2 KY (born March 29, 1918, and died
in North Carolina May 29, 1991). Now Douglas 3rd’s birth certificate
lists his mom as Lena Oblinger, so Lula is a second
wife. He will die May 26, 1921, and by 1930 Lula will have married William
Sweets and the whole gang will be up in Bethesda, Maryland.
DONALD H. (HARDIE) PUTNAM Ashland, Boyd County
He is
a son of the following Lewis Putnam, son of Adrian. Donald is 31 KY and his
wife Hannah Russell is 23 (Albany) NY. They have just been married one year. He
is a lawyer. He was born here August 14, 1887. They are here with kids in 1930.
He is
53 OH OH OH. His wife Mary
Hardie is 50 LA. Also here are their daughter Helen 27 KY and her husband
Frederick Redfield 26 MO. They were here in 1900 and 1910. He is a son of
Douglas Putnam and Valonia Reppert. His dad is next
door, or probably they all live in the same house, just listed as separate
families but next to each other. Mary is widowed here in 1930. Mary was a
daughter of John Hardie and Lydia Wilson and was born in New Orleans August 8,
1868. She will die here July 5, 1935
ANNA PUTMAN Fort Thomas, Campbell County
She
is a daughter of Thomas Daniel Putman. She is now 51 KY KY
KY. Her sisters, Kate 44 KY and Mary 48 KY are there.
Mary married Samuel Lykins and has a son Tom Lykins 26 KY with her. Also there
are nephews Robert Putman 20 KY (son of Charles Monroe Putman), William
Pounders 7 KY and niece Anna Pounders 4 TN.
The Pounders kids belong to her sister Martha who married Allen Pounders
and died in 1919. They are here in Fort Thomas in 1930 and will be living next
to their brother William. Robert will be married here by then.
CHARLES M. (MONROE) PUTMAN
Newport, Campbell County
Thomas'
son is now 54 KY and his second wife Margaret Elizabeth is 40 KY. He is another
son of Thomas Daniel Putman and Hannah Applegate from Lewis County where he was
born April 30, 1865. His first wife Susan Wallingford died in 1902. He and
Margaret were in Fayette County in 1910 and will be here in 1930. He also works
in his uncles’ candy company.
ROBERT HINER PUTMAN Highland Heights, Campbell County
Thomas
Daniel's son is now 62 KY KY KY,
Margaret Ward 60 KY and the same niece, Stella 21 KY, is still with them. He
and his brother William own and operate a Candy Factory.
WILLIAM H. (HENRY) PUTMAN Highland Heights, Campbell County
Thomas
Daniel's son is 59 KY, Matilda Bane 55 KY, Robert 21 OH and Louise 19 OH are
still home. They are in Fort Thomas, Campbell County in 1930. He still runs the
candy company wit his brother Robert. Matilda’s aunt, Sallie Bane, 83 KY, is
with them.
CLAUDE ANDERSON PUTMAN Crofton, Christian County
He is
32 KY, Mattie E. Haight 27 KY. They have two sons, Cail
(Kenneth Cale) 7 KY and Aubrey 2 KY. He is a son of George Washington Putman
and Fanny Hobbs from Hopkins County. He was born January 7, 1888. They are back
in Hopkins County in 1930. He will die of an ulcer on April 24, 1938 at age 49.
GEORGE KELLEY PUTMAN Crofton, Christian County
William
Granval Putman and Martha Sharber's son is 38 KY,
Bertha Oma McClelland his wife is 31 KY, Jeanie 14 KY, and Amy M 3 KY. He was
born April 25, 1881. He married Bertha Oma McClelland on May 4, 1904. He will
die here November 11, 1960, and Bertha on April 4, 1969 at age 81.
SAMUEL H. PUTMAN Crofton, Christian County
He is
a son of George Washington Putman and Fanny Hobbs from Hopkins County. He is 33
KY TN KY, Nona 32 KY, and still no children. They are in St. Joseph County,
Indiana in 1930.
HUBERT L. PUTMAN Fulton County
Henderson
Griggs Putman's son has moved up from Obion County, Tennessee. He is now 36 TN,
Ruth Pride his wife 40 KY, Coy 10 KY and Floyd 8 KY. They were married here
November 6, 1906. He will be here till he dies December 3, 1946.
VICTOR R. PUTMAN Fulton County
Hardin's
son, Robert Victor is 33 KY, Marie 37 TN and they have Robert Victor Jr. 6 KY.
He is a son of Hardin and Mary Jane Putman. He was born in Marshall County and
then moved with his folks to Calloway County. They are here in 1930.
JOSEPH ERWIN PUTMAN Robard, Henderson
County
He is
the eldest son of James W. Putman. He is 22 KY, Cleo Willingham his wife is 22
KY. Joe was born September 26, 1897 and will die here in August 1966.

He is

they had five children. He died in Campbell County on December 15, 1942. He was
82 years old then. Matilda was born December 1, 1864 and died in Campbell
County on June 22, 1945 at age 80.

Putnam. This could be Lawrence Chester Putnam, who was married to Alice Mary
Thomas and who died here in 1927. Lawrence will marry Mary E. Hoeck here on June 17, 1929. "Hoeck"
and "Hawk" are close but I'm not sure they are the same person. So
perhaps Lawrence squeezed another wife in between Alice Mary Thomas and Mary E.
Hoeck. Note, Mary E. Hoeck
was previously married to a Mr. Hoffman. She is here in 1940.

E. Webb is 71 KY. Adrian’s son is still here as he has been for years. He will
die here March 6, 1936 at age 80. Alice will die here at age 88 on August 21,
1947.

KY (born April 20, 1925). He was married to Anna Schafenberger
here in 1900 and 1910. They were separated in 1920, so he married Emma around
1918 or 1919 in order to have Irene. He is a son of Alpheus and Katherine from
here. He was born December 1, 1880 and dies here shortly on November 7, 1930 of
pneumonia.
HENRY D. PUTNAM Louisville, Jefferson County
He is
39 KY and his wife Christine Schmidt is 34 KY. They were married here in 1920
and will be in 1940. Never had children. He is a son of Alpheus George Putnam
and Alice E. Webb from here. He will be here till he dies September 15, 1966.
Christine is a daughter of Christian Schmidt and was born in Hart County in
July 1895 and will die here October 24, 1951.
He is a
son of Alpheus Putnam and was born here October 28, 1881. He is now 48 KY KY KY. Mary E. Hoeck his wife is 42 KY. They now have Mary A. 17 KY,
Patricia G. 15 KY, Theresa Martin 13 KY (born November 16, 1916), Joseph P. 11
KY (born May 23, 1919), Rita 8 KY, and John G. 5 KY (born May 22, 1925). There
was also a son, Benedict Putnam, born February 1, 1924 who must have died. In
1910 and 1920 he was married to Alice Thomas. She died here August 1, 1927. He
now states he just remarried this year, so the kids would be his except Theresa
who would be Mary’s from her first marriage to a Martin man. Now kinda interesting. Look down a bit and you’ll see Alice
Putnam age 3 living with her aunt Selina Hawk (Hoeck).
Her marriage record says her mom was Anna Hawk who married Lawrence Putnam. She
is with the Hawks now and will be in 1940. In 1940 Mary Thomas age 86 Kentucky
is there as mother-in-law. So Alice may have been
Lawrence’s kid with wife one Alice Thomas or kinda
illegal with potential wife two Mary Hawk/Hoeck. Only
thing sure of is daddy is Larry Putnam here. Lawrence will be here until he
dies August 27, 1972. Mary will die here December 16, 1968.

salesman for a paint Company. Lettie Shakelford his
wife is 63 KY. He is a son of Dr. Joseph Whitney Putnam. He was born right
here.

1920 with her folks. Winfield will die here February 3, 1958 at age 76.

brother Harlan 32 KY and widowed sister Addie Fusting 45 KY are with him. They
are all kids of Alpheus or Alfred G. Putnam and were all here in 1920. Walter
will be around till February 1967.
Alpheus’

Bertha K. Osborn his wife of 10 years is 37 KY. No kids. They were married May
12, 1920. Roy will die here April 6, 1966 age 66. Bertha was born October 2,
1892, and she will die here June 19, 1982 at age 89.

son of Rufus and Emma Putnam and was born here. He is a printer, and is now 55
KY KY KY. Eugenia V. Dupree
his wife is 54 KY BELG KY and their son Rufus D. is 18 KY. He will die here in
Louisville September 30, 1942 at age 67. Young Rufus will be here till he dies
August 27, 1977.

the eldest son of Nathan Hale and Nannie Putnam, and has been here forever. He
is a meat packer and is now 57 KY KY KY, Pearl Burnside his wife is 50 KY and Nannie is 15 KY.
Pearl is a daughter of Elijah Burnside and Catherine Connor from Stanford
Kentucky. She will die here January 20, 1933. Richard will hang in till he dies
here May 1, 1962 at age 84.

Sarah Ella Jones his wife is 54 KY, Henry H. 21 KY, Euda
16 KY, and Geraldine 13 KY. He is a son of John Henry Putman and Martha Harriet
Jones from here in Hardin. They were here in 1920 as was his dad.

48 KY and divorced. Her daughter Kelt Greenfield is
21 KY. She is a daughter of John Henry Putman and got divorced a long time ago
and has been with her dad in 1910 and 1920.

another son of John Henry Putman from here. He is 43 KY KY
KY and works at odd jobs. Minnie Ruth McGregor his
wife is 42 KY, Magdalene 20 KY, Joseph W. 14 KY, Ruth A. 7 KY, and Martha S. 4

Thelma L. is 19 KY. He just pops up in 1900 here in Paducah. He is Adrian
Putnam and Jane Stewart’s son listed as Lewis back in Meade County in 1870 and
1880. They were here in 1910 and will be in 1930. Jane will die here February
6, 1938. She was a daughter of Thomas Rushing and Delilah Pittman. James will
die here himself June 2, 1936.

his wife is 23 KY, and they have Annie 6 KY, Harvey K. 4 2/12 KY (born November
21, 1925) and Harry 2 4/12 KY. Abner Forest is a son of Daniel K. Putman from
here. He was home in 1910 and the County wasn’t indexed in 1920. They will have
a daughter Emma on August 12, 1930.
Again
listed as Rutman like 1920. He is 30 KY (born May 22,
1899), his wife Lillie Vincent is 34 KY and they now have William F. 10 KY
(born November 2, 1919), Ora P. 8 KY (born June 15, 1921), Dorothy L. 7 KY, a
son Jubbie D. 5 KY (born August 5, 1924) and James T.
3 4/12 KY (born June 29, 1926). The daughter Dorothy will die here at age 9 on
December 27, 1932. They will have a son Russell E. on March 23, 1935. He is a
son of Daniel Putman who lives next door. Chester will die here June 5, 1971 at
age 72. They will be in Evansville, Indiana in 1940, as will his mom and
brother Everett.
Daniel
Clifton is another son of Daniel Kindred Putman from here. He is 28 KY KY KY and is a house carpenter.
Grace M. Allen his wife is 26 KY, and Jesse C. a son is 5 KY (born June 24,
1925) and Minnie L. 1 KY. They will have James W. born October 31, 1931, and
Herman L. June 23, 1934. Also here is Elmore Everly 52 KY and divorced and also
a carpenter. They are in Evansville, Indiana by 1935 and the rest will be along
shortly.

79 KY OH PA, his wife Minnie F. Carnithan is 58 KY
and their daughter Olive 16 KY. His son Everett Gilbert 21 KY, his wife Zula M.
Bowman is 20 KY are here too. They will have a son George A. born June 12,
1931. Daniel was born December 29, 1850, will be around until he dies here
March 14, 1931 at age 80. Minnie was born August 22, 1873 and will die here May
6, 1953. They are both buried in the Island Community Cemetery. Minnie and
Everett and his family will be in Evansville, Indiana in 1937 as will Chester
and Forrest.

February 20, 1873, and is now 57 KY KY KY. Gertrude Noffsinger his wife
is 51 KY. Her widowed mother Harriet Noffsinger is 74
KY. Her brother Clarence Noffsinger 57 KY lives next
door. He is an inspector for the railroad. He’ll be here till he dies April 26,
1956 at age 83. Gertrude will die at age 77 on September 11, 1955.

KY and Helen S. 4 KY. He is a son of Ezekiel Rice Putman. He was at home in

Earl Putnam is a son of Ezekiel Rice Putman and was born here September 17,
1887, and will die here February 20, 1975. He is 42 KY KY
KY and his wife Mabel Wells is 34 KY KY KY, and they have Lola Mae 13
KY, Clarence W. 7 KY (born February 13, 1923) and Chester 4 8/12 KY (born July
7, 1925).
He is

boarding. He is a public School teacher. There is a marriage record of
this guy marrying Billie Chamberlain in Knox, KY in 1933. It lists his parents
as Clair and Alice Putnam. Therefore, even with the wrong birth location, this
is Fred Peavy Putnam and is shown home in 1910 PA. Clair Arthur Putnam is a son
of Adelbert Putnam and was born in neighboring Warren County.
Jessie
Floyd is a son of Jesse Boyd Putman from Muhlenberg County. He is a coal miner

McIntosh his wife is 31 KY. They now have Odie 18 KY, J. B. (Jesse Boyd) 10 KY,
Irene 8 KY, Sybil 6 KY, Ethel M. 4 KY and Louise 10/12 KY. They will have a
daughter Jessie N. on January 29, 1934. Floyd will later become a Pentecostal
Preacher and then have a radio show.
He is

theater. Beatrice his wife is 29 KY. He is the son of Walter Lee and Harriett
Putnam and was at home with them in 1910 in Cassopolis, Cass County Michigan.
In 1920 he was in the Army in Coblenz, Germany. He and Beatrice are in
Knoxville Tennessee in the 1940. Family out of Vermont.
