He is

(1882) and Dorcas Putnam from Wilton, New Hampshire. They were in Townsend,
Mass. in 1870, and Harriet and their son were in Nashua, New Hampshire in 1880.
They were here in 1900.
He is
75 MA MA MA and is now a
clerk in a newspaper store. Adelaide Cook, his wife of 49 years, is 70 MA.
Their single daughters Nellie F. 46 MA and Abbie C. 41 MA are still at home. He
is a son of Adrian Putnam (2001) and Fanny Flint of Danvers. He was born there
August 29, 1834 and married Addie here in Provincetown on December 18, 1860.

He is 39 VT NY NY and his daughter Bessie is 11 NY VT NY. They are boarding with a David E. Williams 26 NY NY NY but do not appear to be related. Melvin says he has been married 16 years, but his wife Lena May Labrake isn’t around. In 1900 he was married to Lena and they were in Plattsburg, Clinton County New York. Something happened to Melvin and his family has scattered. His oldest son Fred is back in Plattsburgh. The younger sons Clarence and Melvin are in the Home for Destitute Children in Burlington, Vermont. There is also a "Miss" Lena M. Putnam listed in the 1910 Burlington City Directory who may be Lena May Labrake. I think Melvin Leslie Putnam is a son of Melvin and Elizabeth Putnam from Peru, Clinton County but there is no evidence to support that. He is a real mystery. Melvin will disappear for a while after this listing but will pop up in Hampton, Windham County, Connecticut in 1930. Melvin eventually will die on 20 Nov. 1949 in Windham, Windham County, Connecticut.
