85 MA. The listing shows his wife Adelaide Osborne Cook 79 MA and daughters
Nellie F. 59 MA and Abbie C. 50 MA living with him. They have been here since
they were married in 1860. The two daughters are here in 1930.

Foster Putnam, and was here at home in the 1880 census. She was single here in
1910 and Kelley was here then too. Priscilla is a daughter of John and Adelaide
Putnam and is also listed at home with them in New Haven Connecticut. Ida is
John’s sister.

is 52 MA and is living with her mother Jane Putnam 77 MA. Mary Jane Cady is the
widow of Henry Harrison Putnam. They were all here in 1900.
WILLIAM PUTNAM Dalton, Berkshire County

25 MA, his wife Alta Alice Porter is 26 MA, their daughter Alta is 6 MA, son
William is 4 years 3 months, daughter Esther is 2 years 8 months MA, and son
Marshall is 1 1/2 MA. They are in Pittsfield with a bunch more kids in 1930. His marriage record has his parents are William and
Marjorie (Bartlett) and that he was born in Boston about 1894. He has
three draft records which reveal his birth date is 6 Apr 1893. One draft record
has his birth in Boston and the other two say Fitchburg. He was in a care
center or such in Monson, Hampden County in 1900. He had been adopted.

is 70 MA and living alone. I don’t find her before this.
GEORGE H. PUTNAM Pittsfield, Berkshire County
He is
54 MA and is the father in law of Charles F. McNeil, with whom he is living
with. He is a son of Charles and Almira Putnam from Springfield. He was married
here in 1900 and 1910. Charles married his daughter Florence. By 1930 he will
be in Queens, New York living with his son George.

52 NH, his wife Myrtie Elsie Rawson is 46 NH. At home are their children:
Dorothy 22 NH, Ralph E. 17 NH, and Alice M. 14 NH. There are also 2 boarders
there. He is a son of James Putnam and Martha Jane Whipple of Winchester,
Cheshire County New Hampshire. This James was in Cheshire County in 1900, and
they were in Stafford, Connecticut in 1910. They will be just across the border
in Columbia County New York in 1930 running a dairy farm.

She is a daughter of George Putnam (listed earlier) and Lizzy McCambridge. They were all here in 1900.

son Ralph Eugene is 12 NY. He has his own real estate office. They were here in
1900 and 1910. They are here in 1930 and both sons are married by then.

66 MA and widowed. She lives with her widowed sister Fanny Eddy. They were here
in 1910. She was married to Frederick Stillman Putnam in East Hartford,
Connecticut in 1900. She will be here in the Home for the Aged in 1930 at age
76.

him. He is a son, I think, of John Benedict Putnam and Aurellia
Searles. He was home in Nashua in 1880 and with his folks again in Wayland,
Mass. in 1900. He was married to Jessie Barton here in 1910.
EDWARD R. PUTNAM New Bedford, Bristol County

36 MA. He has a wife Margaret F. 32 MA and a daughter Eleanor C. 1 MA living
with him. He is a son of Mary Putnam. They were here in 1900. His mom is still
around here.
MARY PUTNAM New Bedford, Bristol County
She is
59 MA, her daughter Lucy Joyce is 30 MA, and her niece Elizabeth Glynn is 29
MA. There are also three boarders. Mary E. Dollard was married to Wilbur Allen
Putnam who died here in 1891. She was widowed here in 1900 and 1910 with Lucy
and sons Edward and Harry. See that listing.
RALPH PUTNAM New Bedford, Bristol County
He is
32 MA VT MA, his wife Mary is 27 MA, and their daughter Gretchen is 1 MA. He is
a son of Sylvester Putnam and Kate Foley. He was born September 17, 1889 in New
Bedford. His mom died there March 31, 1891. His dad was single in Newburyport
in 1900. Sylvester was a son of Daniel Putnam and Lucy Hutchins from Rutland
County Vermont. Sylvester was on Nantucket in 1900 living with an uncle. He was
here in 1910 as his sister Elsie was. In 1930, Mary and Gretchen are in
Wareham, but I don’t find Ralph anywhere.
MYRON PUTNAM Amesbury, Essex County
He is
20 VT, his wife Alice Jackman is 20 NH. Her brother
Clarence Jackman 27 MA is also living there. He is a son of Henry Lincoln
Putnam and was born in Brattleboro, Vermont in 1899, but they moved and in 1900
he was in Charlestown, New Hampshire with the family. They are in Johnston,
Rhode Island in 1930 and Cook County Illinois by 1940.
CHARLES W. (WILLIS) PUTNAM Amesbury, Essex County
He is 46
MA. His wife Anna B. Miller is 45 PRS. His son Charles N. 19 MA and his nephew
Norman O. Miller 19 MA also live with him. He is the son of John Brother Putnam
(2369) and Sarah B. Whipple of Peabody. They have been here since the 1890s.
They are all here in 1930 and young Charles is married by then.

Martin Putnam and Sarah Clark Davis. They were all here in 1910. She and Anna
are still here in 1930.

55 ME. His wife Nellie I. is 56 NY. He is a son of Francis Parker Putnam and
Eliza Jane Felt of Rumford, Oxford County Maine. He was home there in 1880, and
in 1900. He married Amy Mabel Reed in 1888, but was divorced in the 1900. He
and Nellie or Nettie were here in 1910.
MARTHA E. PUTNAM Beverly, Essex County
She is
80 MA and is living with her granddaughter Marion Putnam 26 MA. Martha Claxton
was the wife John Henry Putnam (1783) and was also widowed here back in 1900.
Marion is a daughter of Edmund Putnam who was here up through the 1910. Guess
both folks died or something. Marion will be in New Haven, Connecticut in 1930
as an assistant professor at Yale.
AUSTIN H. (HERBERT) PUTNAM Danvers, Essex County
He is
66 MA and listed under Ada F. Lyford as her brother-in-law. He is the son of
Israel Herbert (2021). He was married to Ida Mae Lyford here from the 1870s
through 1910. He is here in 1930 too, and then Ida Mae is here too. I guess she
is here now in 1920.
CARL H. PUTNAM Danvers, Essex County
He is
25 MA. Florence E. Gibbs 33 MA his wife. Also there is his son Paul E. 1 MA. He
is a son of George Osgood and Sarah Putnam and was here with them in 1900. They
are here in 1930, except for Paul, but there are two new kids by 1922. Carl was
born August 23, 1894 in Danvers and died in Lynn September 6, 1961. Florence
was born in Lee Massachusetts October 18, 1866 and died in Peabody May 2, 1958.
EARNEST E. (EDWIN) PUTNAM Danvers, Essex County
He is
39 NH. His wife Julia May Clapp is 41 MA. They have a son Alton H. (Hale) 5
CT. Ernest is a son of Albro Hale Putnam and Ellen Jane Russell from Hillsborough
County New Hampshire. He was born November 22, 1880. The family was in Wilton
NH in 1870 and Brookline NH in 1880. They then moved to Townsend, Mass. in the
early 1880s and his dad died there April 22, 1883. Ernest married Gertrude Jane
Nichols in the late 1890s and they were in Westminster, Mass. in 1900. They
then got divorced. He and Julia were in Athol in 1910. Gertrude was in Townsend
in 1910 and there with her mother in 1920. They are all in San Diego,
California in 1930 where he is a car salesman. Ernest will die in San Diego
February 16, 1968. Julie will die there December 23, 1970 and Alton on October
19, 1985.
EDWARD C. PUTNAM Danvers, Essex County
He is
41 MA. He has a wife Eva M. Legro 31 MA, a son Edward
C. Jr. 6 MA, and his mother Lydia Prince Putnam 64 MA living with him. He is a
son of Edward Augustus Putnam and Lydia G. Prince from here in Danvers. Lydia
is also listed with her married daughter Lydia Hayward in Melrose.
ELMER O. (OTIS) PUTNAM Danvers, Essex County
He is
47 MA and his wife Nettie M. Pitman is 44 NS. They have a son Otis F. 21 MA, a
boarder Mary K. 20 MA who should be young Otis’ wife, a daughter Lillian F. 15
MA, another daughter Ruth A. 6 MA, and another son Robert E. 6 MA. He is a son
of Otis Flint Putnam and Adeline Batchelder, and was born here. Now it’s gonna get confusing in 1930. He will die shortly and Mary
will be widowed here in 1930 and is a matron at an old age home. The Mary
listed here isn’t their daughter but is probably Otis’ wife. He is missing then
too, but Mary is listed as being married and has three kids of her own and all
of Elmer’s kids are living with her. Elmer was born here January 13, 1872 and
will die shortly on October 6, 1921. Nettie was born in Benton, Yarmouth County
Nova Scotia August 7, 1876 and will die here February 23, 1944.
GEORGE O. (OSGOOD) PUTNAM Danvers, Essex County
He is
59 MA. His wife Sarah Butler is 55 MA. Living at home are some of their
children. Lewis A. 19 MA, Richard C. 15 MA, Ruth C. 12 MA, and Elizabeth G. 29
MA. He is another son of Otis Flint Putnam and Adeline Batchelder. He is
running his father’s ice business. Sarah is wife number two. They were married
January 15, 1884. He was married to Elizabeth Williams who died December 28,
1881.

is now the widow of Webster Fletcher Putnam who died here April 15, 1912. They
were here in 1900 and 1910.

son of John Collins Putnam and Louisa Knight, and has been here all his life.
Emeline is his second wife, and they were here in 1900 and 1910. Emeline is
widowed here in 1930.

born January 26, 1887 and will die here in 1923.

from Scotland here in 1900 and 1910. He is widowed here in 1930 too and will be
living with his mother Millie.

sister, Ella, were living here in 1900 and 1910. Their father was Artemus C. Putnam from Liverpool Nova Scotia and their
mother was Catherine Ferguson.

62 NH. He lives with his wife Gertrude Zelma Durant 53 VT and three daughters,
Marion G. 24 MA, Pauline 21 MA, and Valerie 18 MA. He is the son of Marshall
Putnam (2791) from Croydon, New Hampshire. They were all here in 1900 and 1910.
This is the line of Ed Putnam who has done and is doing so much genealogy work
on all the various Putnams and Putmans.

as a boarder under Mary E. Brown. He is a son of Asahel Putnam (#1178). He was
at home in Sullivan County New Hampshire in 1870 and 1880. He was married in
Lynn in 1900.

26 MA, his wife Emma Frances Hatch is 26 MA. Their
daughter Gwenivere is 5 MA, son Courtland is 2 years
10 months, and Glendon is 11/2 MA. He is a son of Edward Marshall Putnam and
Gertrude Durant. He was born here in Haverhill.

They are kids of Henry Porter Armstead who was Elizabeth’s brother who died in
1894. The were brought up by Arthur and Elizabeth. Sarah Lucy Haynes is Harold’s wife. They were
married January 31, 1915 in Sudbury. She will die in 1929 so not in the 1930
census. Based on his marriage record we get Arthur’s folks as James Hervey
Putnam (3068) and his third wife Ellen (Morris) Whirling and he was born in
Salem. Actually he is Arthur Whirling, a son with Ellen’s first husband Edward
Whirling. Both were from England. James Hervey Putnam is his stepfather. Arthur
changed his name to Putnam when adopted.
They are next door in Swampscott in 1930. Harold is widowed in Reading
in 1930.
CHARLES PUTNAM Lynn, Essex County
He is
50 MA. He lives with his wife Elizabeth Kroen 43 MA. There
are also two sons, Ralph (Charles Ralph) 23 MA and Earle 10 MA, and two
daughters Dorothy 18 MA and Lillian 13 MA. He is the son of Timothy Felton
Putnam, son of Alfred, son of Amos (1766). They were in Peabody in 1900 and
Salem in 1910.

is 73 MA. Deborah Ellen Haines is now the widow of Perley Putnam. They were
here in Lynn in 1900 and 1910.

a daughter Erma L. 2 2/12 MA. He is a son of Joseph Putnam and Annie Woods. He
was home with them here in 1900, and then in 1910 with his mom and stepfather.
He married Gladys here in Lynn on January 27, 1917.

He is
54 MA and his wife Carrie M. Olcott is 57 MA. They have a son Clyde H. 31 MA.
He is the son of Henry Augustus Putnam and Augusta Shepard. Henry was the son
of Luke, son of Gideon (1877). They were in Clinton, Worcester County in 1900
and here ever since. Carrie will die and he will be married to Anne Lewis and
be in Peabody by 1930. Clyde was married to Edith Brimmer and is divorced. He
will be in Boston in 1930.
GEORGE PUTNAM Lynn, Essex County
He is
52 ME and boarding. This is George Lauriston Putnam, a son of Lauriston Putnam
and Ellen Small of Searsport, Maine. The family moved to Boston by 1870, and
his folks were in Malden. George was in Worcester in 1900, and is a doctor. He
will be in Miami Beach, Florida in 1935 and 1940. Can’t find him in 1930
though.
GEORGE (FRANKLIN) PUTNAM Lynn, Essex County
He is
84 MA, his wife Mary Waldron is 79 NH. Also there are
their son Herbert 49 NH and his wife Bertha 47 NH. He is the son of Orrin
Putnam, who is the son of Matthew (1993).
He is originally from Danvers, then moved to New Hampshire in the 1860s,
and was back here by the late 1880s.

is the son of Orin, who is the son of Matthew (1993). They were all here in
1900 and 1910.

34 MA, his wife Maude M. Hatton is 32 MA, their son Arthur E. is 7 MA, and son
Allan G. is 2 months MA. It seems he was first married briefly to Ruth Buxton
and they had a daughter here in Lynn on February 20, 1902. He was back with his
folks in 1910. He is a son of Arthur and Elizabeth Putnam from here in Lynn.
They are in Swampscott by 1930, as are his folks. It’s the next town over, but
much nicer and right on the Ocean next to Marblehead where Suzy and I lived
when we first came to Massachusetts.
SYLVESTER J. PUTNAM Lynn, Essex County

63 VT, his wife Abbie is 50 MA. They have one boarder
Ida Briggs who is 62 MA. He is a son of Daniel Putnam of Canada and Lucy
Hutchins. He was at home in 1860 and 1870 in Brandon, Rutland County Vermont,
and was single here in 1900. He was married to Catherine Noonan in New Bedford
in 1881 and then she died there in 1891. His folks were in Vermont in 1900, but
were here with him in 1910.
WILLIAM O. (ORRIN) PUTNAM Lynn, Essex County
He is
39 NH, and his wife Helen M. Gale is 33 MA. They also have one boarder. He is a
son of George Franklin Putnam and Marianna Waldron. He was born in Framingham,
New Hampshire, but returned here with his folks in the 1880s. His folks are
also here in Lynn, and they all were in 1900 and 1920. They are here in 1930
and his mother is widowed by then and living with them.

from Sullivan County New Hampshire. He was home there in 1870 and 1880 and
married to Alice Temple in 1900 and 1910 in Lebanon, Graftton
County New Hampshire. He was born July 16, 1866 in Charlestown, New Hampshire.
Alice died in Lebanon, New Hampshire March 25, 1916. Ruth would be a daughter
of Julia’s prior marriage. He is widowed back in Lebanon in 1930 and 1940.

44 MA and lives alone. He is a son of Edward Austin Putnam and Adeline Augusta
Dodge. He married Grace Augusta Potter in 1897, but was back home in Beverly in

but in 1910 he is in Windham County Vermont with his second wife of 4 years,
Annie from Canada East. What looks like his first wife was from Canada too. He
may well have been up there in that 40 year ‘void.’

wife. They have been married 1 year. He initially married her to take care of
the kids, but they fell in love and were married a long time. A descendant has
a copy of their 25th Anniversary Photo. They are here in 1930.

Interesting. Then in thinking about it Ethel was married to Herbert Buttrick. They are indeed in Wakefield in 1920 with the two
kids. This turns out to be a case of two couples switching spouses. In each
case the mom took her kids to the new household. Even more interesting.

North End and lost a daughter in the Molasses Flood of January 1919. A
descendant says he was so depressed over this loss that he committed suicide.
Now, Rand did some figuring on who George was. There is a birth record of their
daughter who died in the ‘Flood.’ She was Mary Evelyn born in 1914. Her parents
were George F. and Agnes Putnam. The marriage record of George F. Putnam and
Agnes Glynn on January 29, 1913 lists his parents as V. G. Putnam and Alice
Peabody and that he was born about 1887 in Lowell, Massachusetts. There is a
draft record of George Frederick Putnam born May 16, 1886 who has a wife named
Agnes Putnam. George was here in Boston, single, in 1910 and listed as
Frederick V. Putnam. He is a son of Zenas Vaughn Putnam and Alice Peabody. Long
story here. Zenas by the way was a son of Vaughn Greenleaf Putnam from Lowell
and he was at home there in 1880. He then married Alice F. Peabody in Lawrence
October 31, 1885. Young Fred here was born in Lowell May 16, 1886. His folks
got divorced and Alice married George Lovett in Lowell on July 23, 1897 and
Fred went with her. In the 1900 he is listed as George F. ‘Lovett’ in ditto
marks in the 1900 census with Alice and George Lovett. Seems he will change his
name to George Frederick Putman as that is what he uses when he married Agnes
M. Glynn.

birthplace, but he sure looks to be a son of Roscoe Putnam and Isabella Bliss.
He was shown at home in Leominster in 1900 at age 3 MA. To make it even more
confusing, Forest and Laura are also shown boarding in Leominster, and in that
listing they both use Connecticut as birthplaces. Something will happen and in
1927 Laura will marry James O’Neil at they are here in 1930 with a daughter
Adeline Putnam born in 1922.

Charles married Mary L. Bigelow in Worcester on July 5, 1910. He was 72 and she
only 44. She had been married to a Lawson, but this was his first. He died of
sheer exhaustion probably in the last several years.

Louise Howell. His dad was a son of Rufus Austin Putnam and bother were
Congregational Ministers. Henry was born while the family was in Illinois. In
1870 the family was in Pembroke, Merrimack County New Hampshire and were with
his grandfather Rufus. Then the family was in Ohio and I don’t find them in
1880. He was in Lexington in 1900 and 1910 and will be in Boston by 1930.

H. Weymouth is 49 ME. He is the son of Sumner Putnam (son of James 1360) and
Laura Lowe from Sutton. He was home in 1880 and single in Worcester in 1900 and
1910. She is a daughter of James Emery Weymouth and Arvilla Deveraux. In 1930
it says they have been married 20 years so they would have been married later
in 1910.

he was widowed, so it looks like this Mary is a different one from the Mary he
was married to from the 1870s through 1900. Mabel is widowed in 1930. in 1930.

Helen R. 55 PA is here and is a matron at the School. He is a son of Willard
Putnam and Lois Tuckerman from Sterling, Windham County Connecticut. The family
was originally from Sutton, Mass. They have been doing similar work at the
Rhode Island State Insane Asylum in Cranston, Rhode Island. They were there in
1900 and 1910.

to Myron Putnam in Charlton on January 1, 1891 and he died in the late 1890s.

Putnam and Harriet Augusta Putnam from Sutton. He was home in Sutton in 1880
and boarding in Worcester in 1900. He then married Susannah Harris Darling in
about 1901 and they had the son Stanton Darling Putnam in 1903. They are in Northbridge in 1920, and he is
still widowed in Northbridge in 1930. Susannah died October 5, 1903 probably as
a result of the childbirth. He was widowed in Webster in 1910 and will be here
in 1930. The son Stanton will be married in Douglas in 1930.

his WWII draft registration in 1942, he gave his birth date, the fact he was
married and worked for Socony-Vacuum Oil Company (became Mobil Oil later). The
SS death index has him dying in Shrewsbury in February 1966.

30 MA, his wife Florence Mary Tuttle is 27 MA. He is a
son of Anson Waldo Burlingame Putnam and Ella M. Stowe. He was born March 22,
1889. He was home with his widowed mother in Auburn in 1900 and 1910. He and
Florence were just married In Auburn on June 24, 1919. She will die in 1924. He
will then marry a Mary in Shrewsbury in 1928 and they are in Worcester in 1930.
Then they got divorced and Waldo is alone in Worcester in 1940. He had a
daughter Florence Marjorie Putnam born March 27, 1920 in Shrewsbury and she
will be with her mother’s folks, Charles and Ada Tuttle, in Worcester and
single in 1930 and 1940 and will die single here in Worcester August 5, 1994.
Daniel will die here in 1951.

otherwise he has been here all his life and will be till he dies in 1942.

He and Julia were in Athol in 1910 and Danvers, Massachusetts in 1920. Gertrude
was in Townsend in 1910 with her mother. Ernest and Julia are out in San Diego,
California in 1930. Ernest will die in San Diego February 16, 1968. Julie will
die there December 23, 1970. Gertrude will die here in 1928.

Boston in 1900 and he was in Leominster in 1910. Not sure where she was in 1910

59 VT and is boarding with Charles Norse. He is a son of Hiram Putnam and Mary
Small of Walcott, Vermont in 1860, and in Ashburnham, Mass. in 1870. In 1880,
he was single in Phillipston, Worcester County. He then was in Gardner,
Worcester County in 1900 and 1910, but never had a wife with him. He was first
married to Nettie Holden in the late 1880s or early 1890s and something
happened. They had a son Allen Orrin in 1891. In 1900 Nettie was with her folks
in Northfield, Franklin County with Allen and pretty much the same in 1910. By 1920
Nettie and Allen are in Los Angeles County California and are there forever. He
recently married Alice M. Smith here in 1898, but separated very quickly. He is
in Athol in 1930.

Beatrice M. 11 MA, Eunice M. 8 MA and Frank E. Jr. 4 6/12 MA. He is the son of
Charles E. Putnam. He was at home in 1900 in Winchester, Cheshire County New
Hampshire. Came down here to work the mills I guess, they were here in 1910. He
will die later this year and I don’t find Myrtis in 1930, but she is in the Masonic
Home for the Elderly in Shrewsbury in 1940. She is also listed in Worcester in
1940 with her son Frank Eugene Putnam.
FREDERICK S. PUTNAM Worcester, Worcester County
He is
53 MA, Anna Davis 49 MA, and Gladys 26 MA. His father Charles H. Putnam 78 MA is with them. He and his family were here
in Worcester in 1900, but he didn’t have a wife then. Gladys was by an earlier
marriage of Anna and Edward Noether. Fred and Anna
are here in 1930.

there is Charlotte Claflin (Claughlin) 51 MA. He is a
son of Elisha Rockwood Putnam and Mary Ann Seaver.
The family was from Westborough, then went up to Franklin County Maine where
George was born. They returned to Hopkinton in the 1870s. He and Ella were
there in 1880. They were in Middlesex County in 1900, and in Westborough in
1910. Something will happen and he will marry Susan Jerome Flowers March 30,
1924. I don’t find any in 1930.

Elizabeth Hult and they are here in 1930. He is a son
of Clinton Putnam and Lucy Dodge of Rutland.

here in 1900 and 1910. He is George Augustine Putnam
a son of Philander Putnam and Harriet Prentice from Worcester Massachusetts. He
was born in Northbridge June 7, 1852. Philander is number 2177, a son of Cyrus
Putnam (921) and Lucinda Hathaway of Sutton. George is widowed in St. Paul,
Minnesota in 1930.

84 NH, his wife Louise Sabin is 66 MA. At home are
daughters Jennie L. 52 ME and Florence A. 43 MA. Also at home is a niece, Grace
L. Bancroft 33 MA. They were all here in 1900 and 1910. He is number 2929, a
son of the Rev. John Milton Putnam (1330) and Arathusa
Brigham. He married Fannie Marie Wells who died. In 1881, he married Hannah
Louise Sabin. He is a clergyman like his father.

8 MO and son Edwin 4 MO. He is a son of Sumner Putnam and Laura Lowe of Sutton.
He was married to Nettie Ewell in Shrewsbury in 1900. Then they got divorced
and in 1910 he is married to Emily and they are in St. Louis. In 1910 and
Nettie is with her mother and both say they are widowed. He was just married to
her in St. Louis in the 1910 census and had the kids through 1915. Probably
been back here a couple of years. He is a dye manufacturer as he was in St.
Louis in 1910. I don’t find any of them in 1930. They are here in 1940 and I am
sure in 1930, but not indexed correctly.

55 MA, his wife Nellie M. Knight is 51 MA. At home is daughter Harriet (N. or
M.) 11 MA. They were here in 1900 and 1910. He is the son of Henry Clinton
Putnam (son of James Putnam 2294) and Harriet Maria Fuller from Sutton. They
are all here in 1930 and also listed in Clearwater, Florida in 1930. Harriet is
married by then.

born here March 28, 1853 and has been here all his life. He will die here in
1924 and Maria is widowed here in 1930.

like the son of Harry Putnam from Greenfield, Franklin County. That family was

Goffstown, Hillsborough County in 1910. This is the ‘Other Branch’ of the
family originally from Yorkshire, England.

Philander Putnam (2177) and Harriett Prentiss from Northridge and then here in
Worcester. He was married to Harriet Ward who has died since 1900, as he was
widowed here in 1910. They were in Worcester from the 1870s on.

is 13 MA. He is Maynard Darius Putnam a son of George Eugene Putnam and Lucy
Annabel Putnam of Sutton. He was born March 3, 1876 and was with the family
there in 1880 and in 1900, then got married and moved into the City by 1910.
They are in Gardner in 1930. The son Kenneth Howe Putnam was born October 1,
1908 and will die in Grafton August 25, 1987. He married Ethel M. Whitney in
1924. Ethel is a daughter of Edwin Elijah Whitney and Ida Amanda Prentice. She
was born in Grafton March 12, 1910 and will die there in December 1985.

59 VT, Eleanor Long 56 CAN, Grace E. 20 VT. He is a son of Haman Putnam and
Juliette Chapin from Westford, Chittendon County
Vermont. His dad died back in the 1860s and he was with his mother up through
1880. He was married in Burlington in 1900, and down here in Oxford in 1910.
They are just south in Auburn in 1930. His son Haven is nearby in Gardner,
Mass.

34 ME and is lodging with Robert H. Harvey. Only decent choice is that he is the
son of William P. and Annie Putnam of Waterville, Kennebec County Maine. In
1900 he was listed as Edward P. 15 ME. Both initials probably stood for Peter.
ROY A. PUTNAM Worcester, Worcester County
He is
39 MA, his wife Edith 25 MA, and their daughter Blanche is 5 MA. Also living
there is his mother Rebecca Putnam 72 MA. He is a son of Alonzo L. Putnam and
Rebecca Nichols. They were in Grafton, Worcester County in 1880. In 1900 he was
with his widowed mother in Ashland, Middlesex County. I think he was the Ray in
Stoneham in 1910. Rebecca was in Upton by herself working as a housekeeper in
1910.

Ellen. Roxanna Caroline Pollard is the widow of William A. Putnam. She was
living with her daughter Mary and son-in-law Fred Blake here in 1900 as well.

Sarah Adeline Woodbury is the widow now of Samuel Henry Putnam. The whole

is now the widow of John D. Putnam from Webster. John was a son of Russell

worked for the railroad and they were in Ohio from the 1850s to the 1880s. They
were here in 1900 and 1910. He is widowed here in 1930.

NY. He is listed as William, but has been Walter since he was born. He
is a son of Charles M. Putnam and Harriet E. Burrows from Broome County New
York. Jennie is a daughter of Edward Oscar Butler and Martha Reynolds. She was
born November 29, 1866. He and the family were in Deposit, Broome County in
1900 and 1910 and are back there in 1930. His dad was a son of Jeremiah Putnam and Hannah Roe from
Connecticut.
