and they have Julie 12, Raymond 10, Louise 8, Lowell 6, Merrill 5 and Willard 3
all MN. He is a son of Eugene Elmer Putman and Viola Johnson from Big Lake
Sherburne County. He has been there through the 1920 and recently moved over
here. He was born March 15, 1885 and will die in St. Paul (at a hospital) on
December 15, 1958. Emma was born April 3, 1896 and will die here in Anoka on
October 16, 1977. The son Lowell Martin Putnam was born in Big Lake October 21,
1923 and came here with his folks in 1928. He flew airplanes for the Navy in
WWII. He married Eleanor Andrews of Anoka in 1949. He died at a nursing home in
St. Cloud March 15, 2009 and Eleanor was still alive at the time.

Postmaster. His wife Jennie is 63 SWED, and they have Louisa M. 17 MN. Jennie
is his second wife and I think her name is Erickson. He is Frank Harwood
Putnam, born February 1, 1869 in Sutton, Mass. He is a son of Peter Holland and
Harriet Augusta Putnam. He was in Duluth, St. Louis County single in 1900, and
married here in 1910 and 1920. Frank will die here May 29, 1947.

Gustav Bliesner as he did in 1920 in Crow Wing
County. Laura was married to Percival Putnam from Canada in Bayfield County
Wisconsin in 1910. They were divorced as he was in Douglas County Wisconsin in
1920 with another wife Bertha who is widowed now in 1930 back there. These
folks are in Cass County in 1930. OBITS has Walter born February 6, 1912 and
died in Pine River Crow Wing County April 16, 1977.

was here with her parents Ernest Putnam and Jessie Clark in 1920. They’ve moved
to Wright County now.

County Iowa in 1920.

Jennie Rector is 62 NY. He is still a lawyer. Frank Eddy Putnam is a son of
John Henry Putnam (2825) and Alice Augusta Eddy. John Henry was a son of Asher
Putnam number 1271. He was a State Senator here in the 1910 time range. He will
die here July 6, 1944.
Harold
Rector or Rector Harold Putnam is a son of Frank Eddy Putnam and Jennie Rector
from here. He is now 35 MN VT NY and his wife of 3 years Esther G. is 34 MN. He
is an attorney at law just like his dad. Probably works for him. OBITS has him
born September 3, 1894 and died in Blue Earth in March 1984.

51 IL MA MA and a farmer. His wife Sina Osmundson is 62 NORWAY and
Herbert M. 18 IL. He is a son of Horace Thomas Putnam and was born in Chicago.
Horace was a son of James M. and Elizabeth Putnam from Ludlow, Massachusetts.
They were here in 1920. OBITS has his birth as October 2, 1878 and death as
December 30, 1964 here in Faribault County.

he probably runs the place. His wife Winifred Lewis is 40 MN and they have
Marjorie and her twin Robert Lee both 17 MN. He is a son of William Herrick
Putnam and his first wife Adeline Rowele. He will be
here until he dies in 1967. Robert Lee was born May 26, 1912 and will die in
Hennepin County June 29, 1979.

of William Richardson Putnam number 1542. He married Nellie here on July 10,
1894. His first wife Adeline Rowele had died in 1890.
He will die here on November 26, 1935 and Nellie on December 14, 1943.

registers. He is a son of Parker Putnam and Laura Austin of Peoria County
Illinois. He was home there in 1880 and was in Peoria in 1900 with Hattie and
the first two children, and here in 1910 as was his widowed mother.

salesman. They were in Minneapolis in 1920. He is a son of Abraham Putman and
Emma Holmes and was born in Cass County Illinois but has been in Minneapolis
since the 1890s. Hart will die here November 26, 1935. Dutch family out of New
York.

been here for ages. He is a son of William Brower Garrett Putman and Martha
Elkins, New York Dutch family. He was born in Schuyler County Illinois. His
wife Emma Holmes has died September 1, 1928. He’ll be here till he dies January
30, 1941.

from here. She was with her widowed dad here in 1920, and he died here January
7, 1929. Alice will still be single and die here January 26, 1977.

Archibald Jr., a son of David Archibald Putman and Ellen White from Dubuque,
Iowa. He was widowed there in 1920. OBITS has his birth as December 27, 1884
and death in St. Paul in October 1968.

listed as an adopted daughter. She is a nurse. They are both here in 1940. She
looks to be Lenora Aurelia Morgan the widow of Pliny Dewey Putnam and shown in
Tampa Florida in 1910. He died there May 12, 1912 and she came back up here
where she was born.

like her sisters Anna and Maybelle Olson. She is here in 1935 and 1940. She
would seem to be Caroline Olson with folks from Norway. No ideas as to whom she
married.

60 MN and says she is married. She would be Emily Kirkpatrick who was very
briefly married to Hiram Morgan Putnam here in 1920. She is still here in 1940
and finally admits divorced.

63 IA NH OH and is an accountant. He has a new wife Isabel L. 42 IA and they
have been married 7 years. He had been married to Maude Pickthal
from the 1890s through the 1920. He is a son of Charles Edward Putnam and Mary
Ellen Fawcett from Nashua, New Hampshire. He was born in Linn County Iowa and
was there with his folks in 1870 and 1880 and with his wife Maude there in 1900
and here in 1920. She and their daughter Eleanor are in Los Angeles now. He
will die here July 21, 1941.

County in 1920 and he was single there in 1910. He was single in Janesville,
Rock County Wisconsin in 1900. He is Frank Ransom Putnam
and is the son of Fred Putnam and Cynthia Eldridge. He was born March 15, 1881
in Poysippi, Waushara County Wisconsin so missed the 1880 census by a few months. He is never shown at home but his parents are in Richfield, Wood
County, Wisconsin in 1900. New England gang.

have Margaret D. 15, Mary P. 14, Frederick W. Jr. 12, Grace A. 10, Eleanor L. 7
and Elizabeth 3 all MN. He is a son of William Herrick Putnam and Adeline Rowle, and was at home in Goodhue County in 1900 and marred
there in 1920. His dad was a bank president and now his brother Robert has the
job back there. Frederick will die here September 25, 1954. Fred Jr. was born
June 17, 1917 and died in Edina Minnesota June 7, 2007. He married Helen Prouse and became a Bishop in the Episcopal Church and
remained one until his death.

He is 69 MN MA MA and his second
wife Lilla G. Hendrixson is 63 OH. He is a cashier at
a grocery store. He is a son of George Whitmore Putnam of Anoka County where he
was born. He was here in
1900 and 1910. He married Della Sowden in Anoka December 28, 1884. She died
April 15, 1899 and he widowed back in 1900. He then married Lilla Genevieve Hendrixson in 1905. He was born in January 1861 and will
die here March 11, 1946. Lilla is a daughter of Henry Roe Hendrixson
and Harriett Ellen McMillen and was born in Neville, Ohio January 29, 1867 and
will die here in Hennepin County June 14, 1933.
GEORGINA
PUTNAM Minneapolis, Hennepin County
She
is 48 MN and widowed. Her twin daughters Hattie A. and May O. are now 27 MN IL
MN. In 1910 she and the girls were living with her folks the Hansons in Kandiyohi County and they were there still in
1920. There was an Edward Putnam born in Illinois living alone there in 1900.
She must have married him and then he died or took off on them. She hasn’t
tried it again. The girls are office workers in a road building machinery
company. Edward was from the New York Dutch line. They are here in 1940 and she
then admits to being divorced.

49 IL ILOH. His wife Blanche D. Beck is 47 IA and her mother Mary Beck 72 NY is
with them. Harry is a son of Abraham Putman from here. The family is Dutch. See
the 1900.
He is
39 MO ENG IRE and his wife Maude Bartlett is 34 IA. He is an airplane pilot. He
is a son of Louis Daniel and Laura Putnam from St. Louis Missouri. He was in
Des Moines, Iowa alone, but said that he was married, in 1920. He married Maude
Bartlett White in Council Bluffs, Iowa September 1, 1923, so that’s confusing.
Maude Bartlett though was previously married to Nicholas White on November 24,
1915. Herbert was born October 12, 1891 in Missouri and will die in Glendale,
Los Angeles County California January 15, 1976. Then it gets interesting. In
1935 he is with his widowed mother Laura in St. Joseph, Missouri and then they
are in Burbank, Los Angeles County California in 1940 and no Maude around.
Maude seems to prefer marriages that last less than 8-10 years then off to
another fella for a while.
HOLLIS PUTNAM Minneapolis, Hennepin County
He
is 46 MN and widowed as Josephine Michaud has died September 6, 1926. Also here
are his kids, Perry 21 MN, Arnold 23 MN, Lois 18 MN, Loraine 16 MN, Harold 14
MN, and Donald 10 MN. He is Hollis Harry a son of Joseph Louis Putnam and
Josephine Leighton. Hollis was born here February 26, 1884 and will die in
Tombstone, Arizona January 18, 1955. New York Dutch.

John Cornelius Putman and Martha Sacket from Rushville, Schuyler County
Illinois. He will die here December 12, 1936. New York Dutch family.

Putnam from here in town. He will be here until he dies April 17, 1947.

niece Beatrice Lamora who is the daughter of his
widowed sister Edna. He is a son of Joseph L. and Josephine Putman from here.
He was here with the folks in 1910 and then in 1920 the folks were in St. Paul
and I don’t find him then. The son Lyle was born January 31, 1925 and will die
here in Hennepin County October 10, 1968. Dutch family out of New York State.

Leighton has died. He has his daughter Pearl 20 MN and now his widowed daughter
Frances Chesbro 37 MN. He’s still working in a
flourmill. He is a son of Hollis and Charlotte Putnam from Montgomery County
New York and then Will County Illinois. Dutch folks.
LORETTA A. PUTNAM Minneapolis, Hennepin County
She
is 21 MN and a waitress in a cafe. She lives with her parents John and Loretta
Grasse and has her daughter Margaret 3 5/12 MN. She is married to Robert Edson
Putnam who is also living alone here in Minneapolis. They will be getting
divorced soon. See is listing below. She will have a son Robert in 1932 and
they are all still with her folks here in 1940.

30 MN. He is a son of Franklin Putnam and has been here in Minneapolis most all
of his life.

is 71 IA and widowed. Her daughter Edith is 48 MN and still single. Mary E.
Turnbull was married to Lorenzo B. Putnam from Massachusetts. They were here since
1880.

52 MN and her son Maurice 22 MN. Minnie Leighton is now the widow of George Y.
Putman from here. They were here in 1910 and 1920. Maurice is a newspaper
reporter. He will be an editor and will be married here in 1940. New York Dutch

ran a saloon called Put’s Bar for years. He is a son of George and Rebecca Putnam.
He was in McKean County Pennsylvania in 1860 and in Warren County Pennsylvania
in 1870 with his then widowed mother Rebecca Rider Putnam. By 1880 he was back
in McKean County. He and Callie are here in 1910 and 1920. His dad George is a
son of George Putnam (1182) and Salina Thayer of Washington County Vermont and
then by 1850 in Jay, Essex County NY. They have been here since the 1890s.

Florence De Montreville is 36 MN. They have been
married 8 years. In 1920 he was with his folks in Excelsior, Hennepin County.
He is a son of Frank Hiram Putnam and Hattie Miller originally from Peoria,
Illinois where Richard was born. Family has been here since the early 1900s though.
His folks are still in Excelsior. He was born October 26, 1893 and will die in
Austin, Hennepin County on January 21, 1955. There is a death certificate for
Florence in Lamar, Missouri. It states her folks as Clarence De Montreville and Alice Leppen and
she was born in St. Paul, Minnesota March 6, 1893. She was divorced at the time
of her death. She was killed in an automobile collision on Route 71 in Lamar on
December 2, 1936. Her folks were living in St. Louis, and she may have been
going there to see them. Richard will marry Margery Davey, who was also a
widow, and they are here in 1940.
ROBERT E. (EDSON) PUTNAM Minneapolis, Hennepin County
He is
23 MN IL IL living with his married Sister Frances 33
IL and her husband Harold Warmington 33 IA. He works
at a post office and says he is married. His wife Loretta A. Grasse is here in
town living with her folks, so a kinda separation as
they are getting divorced soon. He is a son of Frank Hiram Putnam and Hattie
Miller originally from Peoria, Illinois. Family has been here since the early
1900s though. His folks are still in Excelsior. He was born in Excelsior
September 21, 1906 and will die in San Diego, California October 5, 1996. Seems
he went to San Diego in the 1930s as he signed up for the draft there October
16, 1940 and listed his sister Frances Warmington as
his next of kin. He applied for a marriage certificate in Clark County
Washington April 20, 1943 with Dagney Peterson and it
says he is divorced and in the Navy and she is a nurse and her folks were from
Denmark. They both say they live in San Diego, California and he has been on a
ship out of Bremerton, Washington for the past year or so.
He is
42 MN MA MN and a decorator for a contractor. His wife Ethel Irene Temple is 37
WI and they have Dorothy 8 MN and Marian 6 MN. They were married in April 1920,
but he was single and living with his folks in 1920 when the census was taken
in January. He is a son of Lorenzo and Mary Putnam from here in Minneapolis and
Becket, Massachusetts before that. He was born here in Minneapolis on April 14,
1888 and he will die here January 29, 1932. Ethel is a daughter of James Temple
and Susan Sanderson. She was born June 4, 1893 in Cambria, Wisconsin and will die
here July 16, 1953.
He is
50 SD VT IN and is a conductor on the railroad for the Pulman Company. Those
were the cars that had sleeping compartments. Being a Pulman porter was
reserved for blacks and the service was great. Conductors were of course
whites. I remember going Pulman when we moved from Illinois to Connecticut in
the early 1940s and we were really catered to. You had exclusive rights to the
dining room car and it was kinda like being in a
hotel that was long and thin. Anyway, his wife Alma Emma Buisson is 39 MN (they
were married later in life) and Josephine is 9 MN. Her mother Mary Buisson 76
and her sister Angeline Etta 52 are still with them as they were in 1920. He is
a son of Hosea Ballou Putnam and Matilda Dunhill. He is William Edward Putnam,
and was in Lac Qui Parle County with his folks in 1880. The family then moved
to South Dakota and his dad Hosea Ballou Putnam died there in 1894. I don’t
find the family there in 1900 however. His uncle Kitterage
Putnam was there though. They were here in 1920. William will die in Wright
County September 23, 1951.

29 MN NY NOR and his wife Theresa is 26 IA. He is a laborer at odd jobs. He is
a son of William Russell Putnam and Anna Stevenson from White Oak, Hubbard
County. He was born May 23, 1901 and will die here January 20, 1963.
FRED PUTMAN Caledonia, Houston County
He is
52 WI and an inmate at the Houston County Almshouse. He is the son of Jacob
Putman and Mary Frances Marr of Wautoma, Waushara County, Wisconsin. He was
home there in 1880, and in Sayerville, Waukesha
County, Wisconsin in 1900, and in Monroe County, Wisconsin in 1910. He never
married, and hasn’t been doing too well it seems. He was here in 1920 will be
here still in 1940. He was born June 6, 1878 in Wisconsin and will die July 15,
1945. Dutch family.
He is
69 IL VT IL. His new wife Nellie Longworth is 45 MN and she has three kids from
an earlier marriage. Stanley 21, Clifford 19 and Rachel 17 named Scully and
born MN. He is a son of Kitterage Putnam and was born
in Kane County Illinois in 1859 and was there in 1860. In 1880 he was in Lac
qui Parle County with his dad. In 1900 he and his first wife Maggie Houck were
in Grant County South Dakota. They were back Minnesota in 1910. Maggie died
November 9, 1917 and Frank was widowed in Lac qui Parle County in 1920. He
married Nellie Mabel Longworth June 19, 1920 in Madison, Minnesota. She was
born November 17, 1883 in Nassau, Minnesota. She first married Michael Scully
February 26, 1906 and he died January 10, 1917. She will die August 1, 1962 in
San Diego County California. He is a farmer, and will be here until he dies
March 24, 1934. Nellie is widowed in Montebello, Los Angeles County California
in 1940 working as a housekeeper.

56 MN NH WI and owns a farm. His wife Sarah Jane Arnold is 56 CAN. Also here is
his father Willard James Putnam 79 NH who says he is single. Willard was first
in Douglas County in 1880, but I can’t place him back in New Hampshire. Andrew
was born there and was here since. Willard has been in Montana for the past 20
or so years. Andrew will be here till he dies December 5, 1943. Willard will
die here February 3, 1941.

69 NY NY NY and still
single and boarding. He works for a logging company. He is a son of Lewis and
Lavinia Putman and was in Olmstead County with them in 1880. He has been here
since the 1895.
He is
69 NY NY NY and his wife
Louisa K. Hood is 69 PA. He has been in South Dakota since the 1880s. His wife
Julia died there about 1921 or so and he married Louisa out there August 22,
1923. Solon will die in Otter Tail County September 9, 1953. He is a son of
Lovell Kimball Putnam and Almira Smith from Peru, Clinton County New York. Lovell
was a son of Archelaus Putnam and Deborah Kimball from there and Vermont before
that.

38 SD IL MN. Louise his wife of almost 10 years is 29 MN AUSTRIA, and they have
Viola C. 8 MN and Dolores M. 7 MN. He is a son of Frank Putman and was here
with him in 1920. Ernest will die here December 26, 1940.

29 IA IA MO and is a farmer. He says he is married
for a year, but is by himself now. He is a son of Francis Ashbury Putnam and
Clara Harrington from Pochahontas County Iowa. He was
still home there in 1920.

63 MN MA MA. His wife Minnie Hatch is 58 MN Leota 24 MN and Mary 19 MN. He is a son of John Elmer, and
was in Sherburne County from the time he was born through the 1910 census and
then here by 1920.
He is
50 IA ME PA and his wife Edna M. Cobb is 53 IA. He handles the mail sorting for
the railroad. They live with her folks Willis and Abbie Cobb. Edna was born
October 14, 1876 and will die August 10, 1971. He is a son of George Putnam and
Adelia Medbury from Linn County Iowa. He and Edna
were in Steele County Minnesota in 1905 and in Winneshiek County Iowa in 1920
and then back here now. Niles will die here October 17, 1954.
She is
30 ND NY VT and is a patient in the Minnesota Hospital for the Insane. She is a
daughter of Frederick and Lena Putnam from St. Paul. She was with her widowed
mother there in 1920. She is also listed with her mother now too. In 1935 and
1940 she will be in the State Epileptic Institution in Cambridge, Isanti
County.
He is
40 SD GER GER. His wife Ellen Rachel Partlow is 36 MN
and they have Ralph 17 ND, Glen Howard 8 SD. They were married in James, North
Dakota December 2, 1911. A relative says that on July 28, 1937 in Moline,
Illinois Ed shot and killed his wife and then shot and killed himself. There
was a note that she was shot by her husband, Ed Putnam, who then shot himself.
He had been drinking. Ellen had a restraining order saying he was not to come
near the house because he had been abusive in the past. He broke in through the
basement and shot her. I don’t know his folks except their names were Matthew
W. Bakkala and Lyti Bakkala from Finland. I found his WWI Draft Registration
card. It states he was born in Watertown, Codington County South Dakota on
November 15, 1888. At the time he was 28 so the card was filed in 1917 and he
then lived in Kensal, North Dakota. He had a farm in Kensal, Stutsman County
with a wife and one son. They were in the North Dakota 1915 and 1925 Censuses.
I can’t find them in 1920 yet. The son Ralph was born July 6, 1912 and will die
in Moline, Illinois June 2, 1988. Glenn Howard was born in South Dakota August
13, 1922 and will die in Shreveport, Louisiana August 11, 1972. He married
Florence Jacobs.

Loretta Helen Quandt is 25 MN. He owns a farm,
probably the one his dad had here. He is an adopted son of Charles Putman and
Mary Carlson and was born here. He was with his widowed mother here in 1920. He
was born September 28, 1900, and will be here till he dies December 21, 1972.
Loretta will die here herself September 20, 1986.
She is

Franklin Putnam from Minneapolis. She’s been at home up till now.
He is

works on a farm. He should be the son of Edgar Putnam and Lelia
Crawford from Wabasha County.

sons own the farm now. Alfred was born October 19, 1901 and will be here until
he dies December 3, 1952. He will marry Helen Evangeline Bergerud
here on July 15, 1943. She was a daughter of Hans Bergerud
and Ellevine Boe and was
born in Fergus Falls, Otter Tail County October 17, 1911 and died December 21,
1998. Kenneth was born in Otter Tail County August 6, 1903 and will die in
Minneapolis June 13, 1999. He will marry Florence Josephine Barry. Florence was
born in Minneapolis September 17, 1912 and will die there December 2, 2003
He is
53 MN MA MA. Mary Clow Patelle
his wife is 52 PA and they have Ruth 16 MN, Paul N. 10. Also here is his sister
Mary Ann 72 MN and still single. He owns a dairy farm. He is a son of Henry
Putnam and Caroline Newton originally from Sutton, Mass. He was here in 1900
with his mother who was by then a widow and has been married here ever since.
Mary was born November 13, 1877 and will die here in Amor May 5, 1956.

Schreiner is 37 MN and they have Worthy Luman Jr. 13
MN, Lois R. 9 MN and Beth F. 3 MN. He is a son of Frank Putnam and Hannah
Robinson and was was born here November 20, 1892.
Worthy will die here June 21, 1954. Florence is a daughter of Jacob Franklin
Schreiner and Emilu Lunsten

Dorchester (part of Boston) August 20, 1871. They also took a boat to Bermuda
in October 1933. At that time they lived at 467 Holly Avenue in St. Paul.

Tenia by the way was born in Sweden about 1887 and first married Emil Gustof Wendt about 1905 and had two kids. Bonham about 1856 and the separated. She married Asaph August 8, 1875. She died
here in Watonwan County Minnesota August 30, 1909.

born in Big Lake October 21, 1923 and came here with his folks in 1928. He flew
airplanes for the Navy in WWII. He married Eleanor Andrews of Anoka in 1949. He
died at a nursing home in St. Cloud March 15, 2009 and Eleanor was still alive

Maude there in 1900 and here in 1920. They were divorced and she and their
daughter Eleanor were in Los Angeles in 1930. He was married to Isabel from
1922 trough the 1930 census and now dumped for the second time. He will die
here July 21, 1941.

still have at home Mary P. 24 MN, Frederick W. Jr. 22 MN, Grace A. 20 MN,

Adeline Rowle, and was at home in Goodhue County in
1900 and marred there in 1920. His dad was a bank president and now his brother
Robert has the job back there. Frederick is widowed here in 1950 and will die
here September 25, 1954. Fred Jr. was born June 17, 1917 and died in Edina
Minnesota June 7, 2007. He married Helen Prouse and
became a Bishop in the Episcopal Church and remained one until his death.

retail drug company or store. Gertie works in a department store. He is Gaile Osro Putnam a son of Frank
J. Putnam and Agnes Noteware from Chippewa Falls

then. He will die here in Minneapolis December 6, 1976. Gertrude was born June
21, 1908 and will die June 6, 1971. Family came here from Vermont, and just
decided it just wasn’t cold enough for them back East.

She died April 15, 1899 and he widowed back in 1900. He then married Lilla
Genevieve Hendrixson in 1905. George was born in
January 1861 and will die here March 11, 1946. Lilla is a daughter of Henry Roe
Hendrixson and Harriett Ellen McMillen and was born
in Neville, Ohio January 29, 1867 and died here in Hennepin County June 14,
1933.

death certificate for Florence in Lamar, Missouri. It states her folks as
Clarence De Montreville and Alice Leppen
and she was born in St. Paul, Minnesota March 6, 1893. It states she was
divorced at the time of her death. She was killed in an automobile collision on
Route 71 in Lamar on December 2, 1936. Her folks were living in St. Louis, and
she may have been going there to see them. Richard is a salesman for a
wholesale paper company. Marjorie Lee is a daughter of William P. Lee and
Margery Wentworth and was born in Cairo, Minnesota in about 1901. They were
married in Corson County South Dakota September 24, 1936. Margery will die or
they will split, as he will have a third wife Eleanora Hanson. He and Elenora
are in Orono, Hennepin County in 1950 with a 2 year old
son Richard.

Mabel November 3, 1920 in Reveille, South Dakota. She is a daughter of Eric Hegna and Martha Skrabeck and was
born in Coddington, South Dakota November 8, 1895 and she will die here in Madison
many years later on March 27, 1999 at age 103.

Minneapolis at a Baptist Home for the Aged in 1950.

and in Stevens County Minnesota in 1930. Olive was born January 22, 1898 and
will die in Grant County July 15, 1968. The son Arthur was born August 6, 1923
and will marry Norma Jean Katherine Ulrich August 6, 1949 after he gets out of
the Army Air Corps that he served in from 1942 to 1945 or so. He will die in
Naples, Florida in February 1992 and Norma Jean will die in Redwood Falls,
Minnesota April 25, 2010.

have Richard 4 MN. He is a bellman at a hotel. That’s a guy that lugs your
suitcase up to your room. Called a bellman or bellhop, because he sits is a
side area and waits for the desk clerk to ring the bell on the counter to let
him know a new guest needs help. Anyway, he is a son of Edgar Worthy Putnam and
Lelia M. Crawford and was born in Elgin, Wabasha
County January 2, 1914 and was there through 1930. He married Anna in Olmstead
County in 1934. She is a daughter of John Rich and Alma Mueske
and was born in Mazeppa, Wabasha County April 7, 1916 and will die here in
Rochester September 7, 2001. Leslie will die in Rochester May 26, 2003. They

July 7, 1926. She is a daughter of Edward Harry Liebel
and Margaret Hanaver and was born here in Sauk Centre
January 21, 1908 and will die in Bellflower, Los Angeles County California
January 27, 1985. Ben will die there February 24, 1975. He dad is from Becket,
Massachusetts as was his grandfather Lorenzo Putnam.

66 MN NY CAN. He was a Turnkey at the State Reformatory, but is unemployed now.
His wife Marguerite Edith Ayers is 61 MN. He is a son of Charles Henry Putnam
and Elizabeth Bowen from Wright County. He was here in 1910 and ever since. He
was born in Wright County April 1, 1874 and will be here until he dies June 19,
1946. He married Margaret here January 2, 1901. Dutch family out of New York
State.
FRED R. (REYNOLDS) PUTNAM Morris City, Stevens County
He is
72 IA, Eva Watkins 70 IA. They were in Cerro Gordo County, Iowa in 1900 and
here in 1905 and on. He is a son of William Rodman Putnam and his second wife
Martha Reynolds, and was born in Hardin County Iowa in September 1867. His dad
is from Connecticut but went to New York and married before coming to Iowa.
They were here in 1930 too.
VERA PUTNAM Long Prairie Village, Todd County
She
is 35 SD and widowed. She has Doris 10 ND, Everett 9 ND, Evelyn 8 ND and
Henrietta 6 ND. Ellen Elvira Pryor married Henry Tyler Putnam in La Moure
County North Dakota January 12, 1929. He was a son of Henry Eugene Putnam from
Sutton, Massachusetts and was born in La Moure County June 12, 1889 and he died
there September 12, 1933. Vera and the kids came over here in 1934 and were
here in 1935. She will marry Clyde Wendell Garlock here on February 5, 1941.
She will die in Findley, Minnesota November 10, 1973.
CHARLES P. (PARKER) PUTNAM Tintah, Traverse County
He is
45 MN, Ethel Henrietta Govig 46 MN and they have
Doris 21 MN, James 17 MN and Joyce 6 ND. He is a son of Parker and Ida Putnam
and was at home here in 1900 through 1920. I don’t find any of them here or
North Dakota in 1930, but they were here again in 1935. He was born here June
10, 1894 and will die in Wilkin, Minnesota October 17, 1982. Ethel was born May
7, 1893 and will die March 29, 1967 in Wilkin also. They were married in
Willmar, Minnesota June 12, 1917. New England family out of Grafton County New
Hampshire and Massachusetts before that.

custodian fro the Great Northern Railway. His second wife Jennie Johnson is 49
NORWAY and they have Roger 8 MN. Jennie operates a boarding house where they
live and there are 4 girl public school teachers living here. They used to run
a farm. He was in Stutsman County, North Dakota in 1900 with his first wife
Jennie Olson who died in 1907, and here since 1910 with Jennie number two. He
is a son of Parker Putnam from New Hampshire, who was here then and in 1920.
George was born in Piedmont, Grafton County New Hampshire in August 1877 and
will die in Hennepin County March 11, 1946. Traverse County is right on the
border of both Dakotas.

41 MN and his new wife Katherine Olivia Olson is 30 MN. He is Walter Donald
Putnam, a son of George Hall Putnam and his first wife Jennie Olson and was
born November 13, 1898 and will die in Wilkin, Minnesota June 5 1961. He was
single at home with his dad and stepmom here in 1930, and same in 1935 so
married Katherine in the last couple of years. His folks are here in town
still. His dad George is a son of Parker Putnam and Mary Ida Henry and was born
in Grafton County New Hampshire in 1877 and was out here in the early 1880s.
EDGAR W. (WORTHY) PUTNAM Elgin Township, Wabasha County
He is
a son of Charles Putnam and Harriet Amelia Irwin from Winona County. He is 66
MN, Lelia M. Crawford his wife 55 MN, Raymond E. 30
MN, Hawley R. 27 MN. Edgar married Lelia August 14,
1907 here in Wabasha County. They were here in 1910 and on till now. He was
born in February 1874 and will die in Olmsted County May 22, 1955. His dad
Charles was a son of Pliny Putnam and Flora Edgerton from Chautauqua County New
York and Winchendon, Worcester County Massachusetts before that.
GEORGE PUTNAM Watopa, Wabasha
County
He is
56 MN NY MI and still single. He is a son of William Washington Putnam and Rose
Stadler from Wabasha County. His widowed mother has been with him since the
early 1900s. George was born December 11, 1883 and will die here June 10, 1966.
DAISY F. (FREDERICK) PUTNAM Mahtomedi, Washington County
She is
67 IN IN IN and widowed. She is still living with her unmarried sister Shirley
B. Frederick 67 IN. Daisy was married to Charles Walter Putnam in Council
Bluffs, Iowa in 1910 and 1920. They were married in Indiana January 5, 1899 and
in Floyd County Indiana in the 1900 census. Charles died in Iowa January 17,
1923. She was widowed in St. Paul with her sister in 1930. Daisy was born
December 21, 1871 and will die in Omaha, Nebraska January 14, 1964. Her sister
is an assistant vice president of a bank here. Daisy just came along for the
ride.
JOYCE PUTNAM Mount Vernon Township, Winona County
She is
19 MN single and a hired girl with a Speltz family and she also was in 1935. In
1930 she was at home with her folks Wallace Putnam and Grace Gage in
Whitewater, Winona County. Her folks are still there now.
He is
54 ND MN MI. His wife Grace Gage is 52 MN. Harry and his twin brother Harold
are now 22 MN. He is a son of William Washington Putnam and Rose Stadler from
Wabasha County. His family went briefly (1884-86) to North Dakota where Wallace
was born. They were all back here in Wabasha County by 1887, and were there for
the 1900 census. They were here in 1920 and 1930. He is a farmer. He is Wallace
Charles Putnam born October 7, 1886 and will die here August 12, 1966. Grace
was born December 4, 1887 and will die in Wabasha County July 19, 1968. The son
Harry William Putnam was born March 25, 1918
and will die in Winona County May 25, 1991. He will marry Lucille Mary
Kronebusch here on May 4, 1946. She was a daughter of Jacob Kronebusch and Anna
Matilda Zils. She was born February 23, 1925 and will
die here June 3, 1985. They will have 2 daughters and a son. Harry Charles was
also born March 25, 1918 and will die in Cannon Falls, Goodhue County November
21, 1997.

57 MN NY IN. His wife Addie Belle Whitlock is 52 MN. He is a foreman in an
implement store whatever that is. Tool shop, hardware or something. He is a son
of Charles J. Putnam and Harriet Irwin and was born here. His dad died here
January 3, 1928. He will die here December 22, 1948. Addie was born September
21, 1887 and will die here June 1, 1968.
LOU PUTNAM Winona City, Winona County
She is
42 MN and she owns and operates a Lodging House. She says she is married, but
the ‘M’ is crossed out and no hubby is here. She is LuLu
Waldo. I don’t find her in 1930, but she is here in 1920 married to Herbert
Putnam who is a son of Charles Putnam and Harriet Irwin from here.
Jay
is 48 MN, his wife Myrtle Ellen Covell is 44 MN and they have James Leroy 16
MN, David Jay 14 MN and Patricia 11 MN. He is still a publisher of a weekly
newspaper. He is a son of James Leroy Putnam and Josephine Vermilya
from here in Yellow Medicine County. He was here in 1900 and 1910 and in
Chippewa County in 1920. They were married here March 31, 1923 and were here in
1930. James was a son of Union Putnam and Clarinda Frost. He was born September
29, 1891 and will die in Pinellas, Florida March 31, 1986. Myrtle is a daughter
of Albert Freemont Covell and Harriet Adams and was born in Verona, Faribault
County Minnesota August 16, 1894 and will die in Willmar, Minnesota July 27,
1983. New England family from New Hampshire to Chautauqua County New York.
