He is the son of Nathan Henry Putnam and Nancy Spaulding from Lebanon, Kentucky and grandson of Joseph Whitney Putnam from Louisville. They are in San Francisco in 1935, Miami, Florida in 1940 and will be in Chicago, Illinois in 1942 when he registers for the draft. New England family originally from Massachusetts.

He looks to be the son of Jacob Putman and Mary Jane Bouey from Niagara, Niagara County Ontario. Dutch family from New York State originally.

They have been here since about 1903, and lives just down the street from his cousin Charles. They are both locomotive engineers.

Indexed as Putnan. She is 69 VA VA VA and widowed. Her son John Carden Putnam 49 VA VA VA. She has been here since the 1890s and widowed all that time. She was married to Marcellus Putnam in Richmond, Henrico County Virginia in 1880. He must have died as she lists herself as widowed in the next census. John works for the railroad. I don’t find them in 1940.

His wife Jean Cochran is 37 PA and they have Charlotte L. 10 PA, Jean Rae 7 PA and George R. 5/12 PA. He is a son of Arthur Putnam and Crissie Burriet from Weedsport, Cayuga County New York. He was at home there in 1900 and 1910, and was here in Crafton in 1920

He is a son of Samuel Hildreth Putnam and Abigail Mixer. He was born in Marietta, Washington County Ohio and has been here since the early 1900s. He is widowed here in 1940. Their son Samuel is in Genesee County New York in 1940. New England Family.

He is Merle Loveland Putman 6 PA NY OH living with his grandparents Roy J. Sutton 39 PA and Pearl C. Sutton 41 OH. No clue as to his folks though. In 1935 and 1940 he is living with Homer Buchnecker in Beaver County Pennsylvania and then East Palestine, Columbiana County Ohio when he is with them and registers for the draft there June 30, 1942.
He is 39 PA PA PA and manages a meat plant here. His wife Ruth Hoover is 38 PA. They now have Anna L. 16 PA, Ruth M. 15 PA and Margaret H. 11 PA. Her now widowed father James Hoover 74 PA is still with them, but her mom has died since 1920 when they were in Johnstown, Cambria County. They will be back in Johnstown by 1940. He is a son of Silas Putman and Annie Meyers from Johnstown Cambria County. German family.

story. His dad, Israel John Putnam, was a son of Peter Radcliff Putnam (3248)
and Emily Mixer, and was born in Marietta, Ohio. His dad died in 1863. He and
his brother Abbott ended up in Connecticut by the 1870 census. His brother was
listed in Litchfield County through the 1900, but I hadn’t seen Israel until
1910 when he and his family were in Elmira New York. Then also in 1910 this
young Israel was there and married to Maggie Fuller. They were divorced in
1917. In 1920 she was still there with two young kids. Got a divorce. He was
married to Ethel in Essex County New Jersey in 1920. He is an optician like his
father. He was born in Winsted, Connecticut and will die in Sayre, Pennsylvania
February 28, 1971. New England family.

He is a son of Luman Putnam Jr. and Alice Morley and was born here in Burlington. He was here with his widowed mother in 1900. I haven’t seen him since then, but seems to have been in New Jersey in the 1920 time frame. New England family out of Massachusetts.

She is 59 PA and widowed as she was in 1920. She still has Grace 22 PA at home. Emma was the wife of Herbert Putnam they were here in 1900 and 1910 and she was widowed here in 1920. The family was from Massachusetts and spawned most all the families here in Bradford County.

He is 46 PA, Mabel McGill 45 PA, Robert A. 20 PA. In 1900, he was in Granville with his mother Sallie Rockwood, and his father Orville G. Putnam was off in Washington DC. In 1910 they were in Sage and in 1920 here in Towanda. Orville will die here in 1934 and Mable is with their then married son Robert here in 1940. New England family out of Massachusetts.
He is 49 PA PA PA and single. He owns his house and is an automobile mechanic. He is a son of Luman Putnam and Alice Morely from here. New Englanders.
He is 63 PA PA PA and a laborer at odd jobs. His wife Cynthia M. is 69 PA and Floyd L. 35 PA is still at home and single. He is a son of Harvey and Elizabeth Putnam, and was born here. His grandfather, Luman Putnam, was out of Massachusetts like the rest of the ones around here.
He is 55 PA PA PA and owns a farm. His wife Gertrude Walborn is 48 PA, and they still have H. (Harold) Dean 21 PA, Dorothy 18 PA and John Robert 12 PA. He was single here in 1900 and married by 1910. His full name is Azor Rockwell Putnam. He is a son of Harvey Putnam and Elizabeth Gilman. He was adopted and raised by his father’s sister Eliza Rockwell and her husband Azor Rockwell from here in Bradford County.
Still here and is now 55 CAN PA CAN. His wife Mabel 39 PA and Clara 17 PA. The PA for his dad is confusing. I think he is a son of Lorenzo Putman and Mary Graybiel from Lincoln County Ontario. But both those folks were born in Canada, and were on the Dutch line out of New York State originally.
She is 77 PA and widowed. She lives with her daughter Helen Strock who is 47 PA and single. She is the widow of Sylvester Putnam from here. They were here in 1900, 1910 and probably 1920 though not listed. She was probably widowed by 1920 as Sylvester would be 80 then. He was yet another of Isaac’s kids. Massachusetts folks.
He is 52 PA PA PA and a caretaker at a cemetery. His wife Eva Novel is 44 PA and they have Lester 22 PA. Her widowed mother Emma Novel 62 PA is now living with them. He is a son of Milton and Delana Putnam from here. They are all here in 1940 even Emma. New Englanders out of Great Barrington, Massachusetts.
He is 69 PA PA PA and his wife Mary Ann Taylor is 67 PA. He owns a farm. He is a son of Philander and Mary Putnam from Granville where he was born. New England family.
He is 43 PA PA PA and owns a farm. His wife Lavinia Rockwell is 38 PA and their son Francis is 13 PA. His widowed mother Amanda Herda 70 PA is still with them. His dad Edward was here in 1920 too. Edward was a son of Philander and Mary Putnam from here. Massachusetts family originally. Walter was born here January 8, 1887 and will die here after a long illness on December 24, 1933. Lavinia is widowed here in 1940.
He is 42 PA PA PA and his wife Bertha Singo is also 42 PA. They have Wade 22 PA and Jeanette 17 PA. Also here are two nephews Paul and James Singo. He runs a grocery store. He is a son of Silas Putman and Annie Meyers from Somerset County. German family. In 1900 he was at home. In 1910 he and his family are in Fayette County. He was back in Somerset County in 1920 and here now.
She is 9 PA PA PA and a niece of Paul and Madge Kimmel. Madge 32 PA is a daughter of Silas Putman and Annie Meyers from Somerset County. Leona’s folks were John Wade Putman and Etta Reese. John was a son of Silas Putman and both her folks died in the early 1920. German families from Somerset County.

Margaret Weible is 50 PA. She was also married before and has two sons Hamilton
19 and Donald 15 Lavely from that marriage. He was married to Mabel Seibert
previously, but they were divorced and she moved back to Somerset County with
their son Lindsey and stayed at her folk’s place. Nelson is a son of Stewart
Putman and Eliza Ann Dunmeyer from Somerset County.
She is 12 PA PA PA and lives with her uncle Stuart Groupe. She is a daughter of Leveret L. Putman and Edith Groupe and was here with her folks in 1920. Something happened to her mom and she and her brother Stuart are with their grandparents now. Their dad has remarried and is in Buffalo New York now.
He is 13 PA PA PA and a grandson of Stuart and Mabel Groupe. He is a son of Leveret Loveland Putman and Edith Groupe and was here with his folks in 1920. His dad is a son of Dewitt Clinton Putman and Mary Elizabeth Riggle from here. His dad has remarried and is up in Buffalo New York now and he will die there March 24, 1945. Dutch family out of Montgomery County New York.
She is 28 PA and lists herself as married and works as a cleaning woman in the normal school. At home are Elmer E. 9 PA, Emma T. 7 PA, Freeman J. 5 PA and Max A. 3 3/12 PA. Edna Miller was here in 1920 married to Lester E. Putman, a son of Dewitt and Mary Putman from here. I don’t know where he is now or if they are still together. He was part of the New York Dutch family.

He was born here a son of DeWitt Clinton Putman and Mary Elizabeth Riggle. He will be here until he dies January 20, 1962 at age 71. New York Dutch family.

Jay Augustus Putnam is a son of Sidney Putnam and Mary Adelia Ward, and was born here March 22, 1875. They were married in Sanford, Warren County on December 18, 1901. He will be around till he dies here February 1, 1970. Addie was born in Sanford July 15, 1882 and will die here July 19, 1970. New Englanders.

She is 35 NY and divorced. She looks to be Edith Yaw who was married to Leveret Putman in Clinton County in 1920. Stewart Leveret Putman was a son of Neff Putman and Martha LaFotte. Edith was married in 1914 and then said ‘Forget It.’

He is now 55 PA PA PA and widowed as Electa has died January 23, 1930. He still has Ruth 11 PA, Opal 7 PA and Dorothy 2 PA with him. Then his daughter Elsie 27 PA, husband Andrew Jackson Lenhart 33 PA and their son Walter 9 PA are with him as they were in 1920. Also here are his son Floyd Monroe 23 PA, his wife Agnes Snyder 23 PA and their children Ruth 11 PA, Opal 7 PA, Dorothy 2 PA and Floyd Jr. 1 PA. The kids were listed as nieces and nephews. Based on the mother’s state of birth the two eldest belong to Walter. Ruth was listed as a daughter here in 1920. Walter is a son of Alfred Putnam and his second wife Philena Beardsley and was born here in the County. New England family.

There is also a niece Shirley Clark 8 PA with them. He is a son of Rutland Ransom Putnam and Jennie Straight from Forest County. He was at home there in 1910 and married there in 1920. Rutland was a son of Alfred and Philena Putnam from Crawford County. Mary is widowed in Titusville in 1940.

He was born here a son of Edwin and Mary Putnam. His grandfather Alfred was from Chautauqua County New York and the family from Windham County Vermont before that.

He is 62 PA PA NY and still widowed. His sister Bessie 70 PA and his daughter Clara E. 33 PA are still with him. He was married and widowed all in the 1890s so I have no idea as to his wife. He owns a farm and his daughter is a schoolteacher. Xenophan is a son of Levi Putnam and Elizabeth Whiting and was born here. His grandfather Phineas Putnam came out from Vermont.
He is 75 PA PA PA and widowed since Polly Loretta Emerson has died. He is a son of Alford Putnam and his first wife Sarah. He was shown at home in 1870 in Rome, Crawford County. His folks moved to Steuben in Crawford County and he moved here at the same time. Been here forever.
He is 45 PA PA PA and widowed. He is a cook in a restaurant. He is a son of Frederick Putman from Harrisburg and Virginia before that. Not sure who Fred was so don’t have the lineage.

He was here with his wife Ida James from Virginia. There was a boarder then named Clara Murphy who was 30 PA then. Ida died and he married Clara Wakeman here in 1929. Silas Houston Putman is a son of Charles Henry Putman from Warren County Virginia who was here in 1920. Silas and Clara are back in Warren County Virginia in 1940 and will be there the rest of their lives. Souther Putman Family.

The family was out of Chautauqua County New York and then Vermont before that.

He was born right here. His folks were from New York State. Think they were on the New England line, but not positive. He just popped up here in 1850.

She is 77 NY and widowed. Lillian Wattles was just married to Burton Putnam here in 1920. He died here in 1920 and Lillian will go to Cortland, New York later and die there September 27, 1938.

She must have died and he remarried. Wayne would be Laura’s son though as Mylo never had any of his own. He is a son of John and Fidelia Putnam from Warren County. New England line that goes back to Vermont and then Massachusetts.

He was married in Oswego New York in 1900 and in Syracuse in 1910 both times to Gertrude Armstrong. Then he was here by himself in 1920 and Gertrude was widowed in Syracuse in 1920. Looks like they split or got divorced. He looks is the son of Richard Putnam and Maria Phillips from Rome, New York.
Lucille 18, Albert 16 and Zelda all OH OH PA are with their mother Bessie 36 PA and new husband Owen Shoots 30 OH. These are children of Herschel Guy Putman and Bessie May Isett from Wyandot County Ohio. Herschel was a son of Perry Albert Putnam and Ada Wolfe. Herschel Guy married Bessie back in Wyandot County on March 11, 1911. He died February 28, 1919 there in Marion. Bessie has remarried and they were all in Marion County Ohio in 1920. German family out of Pennsylvania originally.

She is an unwed daughter of Albert Brooks Putnam and Elizabeth Reynolds, and was born here. Her sister Mary had married William McCarthy. Her dad was from New Hampshire. New Englanders.
